as a single male i've been to clubs and it's cost me $150 and I definately would have to say that a) it does not keep it exclusive or is it packed and b)once inside they looked nothing like a luxury hotel. so I agree. If they should come in line with other places in the world.

We're a curious couple new to the swinging world & though we've been wanting to go to a swingers club for a while now the hefty entry fees always put us off - I mean - what if we pay $150 then don't like the place! Totally agree with organising the sml private functions @ luxury hotels.

Blue Velvet, Lotus Lounge actually has a membership program in place which ensures that entry is never more than $100 per couple for GOLD Members, and the program is open to anyone to join for a annual fee. On themed event nights at our venue, GOLD Members are provided with entry at $80 per couple, and on occassion we even offer our GOLD Members entry at $50 per couple. SILVER members are also entitled discounted entry of $125 on a normal night and $100 on a themed night. Further information is available by emailing Lotus Lounge.

We went to lotus out of the blue with a couple that go there regularly. While the place was nice, and the atmosphere wasn't bad, we thought that $150 just to walk in somewhere was a bit steep, to a point where it'd have to be a very special occasion for us to go back. Free alcohol was cheap wine and soft drink, and nibblies was cold 'hot' food and stale chips. Pulling that sort of money every weekend, surely a liquor licence wouldn't be such a big deal, especially now that it is easier and cheaper to get it than ever before. Kudos to the owners for setting up such a place, they have done a great job, but hey, you can't please everyone. and even though it is a 'no pressure' environment, people go there to have sex, plain and simple. So there is instantly an expectation to get your kit off and go upstairs, we even had a few sideways comments from people when they found out that we weren't sure if we would. Hey, maybe it was because it was our first time and we weren't entirely comfortable there. That night we had planned to spend X amount of money out in the city, so when we were told there way free drinks and food, we thought it would all even out. The company we were in aside, we were disappointed overall. Will we go back? Maybe, but there's no real desire to at the moment.

Hi guys we too agree that $150 is too much and agree with what HotOz says about services. We have gone to the Lotus every few times a year since it opened not what you would call regulars, we had liked the idea of a slightly cheaper price by a certain time but driving 4 hours paying for a motel etc this was an expensive night for us anyway. The last few times we have gone we have not enjoyed ourselves as much there didnt seem to be as much swinging, and even $100 to have sex with your own partner and watch others is steep. The last time we went however we where extremely disappointed as i had emailed the host on the Wednesday before we went in early March to ask if there was anything special on, to which the reply was no. So we rocked up on Friday night early so we could get our discount, only to be told that as at the beginning of March they had a new policy of gold and silver memberships, we were gob smacked it could of been mentioned in email as they knew we were travelling from so far away, and maybe even a bit of a discount at the door expecially as it was not yet updated on there website, but no good will offered at all. So we did attend once again not very much swinging so we have decided to not go back but to instead try something different.

In Response to the last 2 members stories titled Too Much We too were attracted to the discount offered as it was our first time at that club, only to be made feel cheap and unwelcome after this series of events. Firstly, we arrived at the club at 9:30 PM and apologised for being a bit late only to be told that we should have arrived at 9:00 PM to receive the first time early bird special, such a lovely welcome!!! and then after deciding that we would leave, we were then told that could enter for the special early bird price (surprise, surprise). We thought the club inside was very attractive, clean and well thoughtout. We were given a tour by the host of the night, who did not show any interest in us whatsoever, and did not introduce us to anyone (we think that the host of the club is the most important person, and often the reason a club is successful) he continued to inform us of the rules of the club which went on for some time as there are so many. Most were just common sense anyway... so much for being relaxed. We understand the concept of membership, but we wonder if it encourages segregation in the club, everybody should be equal which is surely the point to the freedom of swinging. Drinks and then a Luxury Hotel is looking more attractive by the minute. Membership is great for the owners as it ensures regular attendance but again encourages segregation as often the members get special treatment. We have been to many clubs in Australia and Europe, and even without speaking the local language have still been made to feel welcome by the host, and therefore and mixed freely with other swingers. All these clubs have cost less if not alot less than the clubs here in sydney.

$150 does appear to be alot, however it all really has to do with value. Would any of us begrudge the money if we met some fabulous people had a GREAT sassy night????? Can anyone who has been let us know. How many people turn up to these clubs ? Are there really any single gals that attend ??? or are they like unicorns, rumoured but never seen, there as well ? What is the average age ?? Are the patrons mixed in age or all older ?? The photos appear great on the web site, but we all know that website are full of it. Would LOVE to here more from real folk who have been.

when we went it was for the 'first time friday' and about 6 couples there to begin with - by the end of it I have no idea, people just seemed to keep materialising (well over 30 people I think) 1 or 2 couples early-mid twenties, though mostly attractive early-mid thirties and then a group of (mid?) 40+ couples who seemed to know each other - I'm not good at guessing ages. Plenty of couples were dressed up nicely - which was comforting, we'd gotten dressed up and didn't want to stick out. When we were there we just played together in the same room as others. Wouldn't know how it compares to other places, never been to anywhere else - and this was only one visit, so dunno what it is normally like.

I would want to go there but why would a girl want to pay for sex??? Has anyone tried the Playground?? Heard good and bad things. I agree it is better to get people together, meet at a bar, then all chip in for a nice hotel. Any takers?

I would only have to compare a bath house having 400 customers on a saturday night at $20 each bringing in $8000 and 60 couples at $150 each at a couples lounge bringing in $9000. then you take in account the bath house is 24/7 bringing in $$$$ over the next six days where the couples lounge is open for just one more day of the week. folks it all economics not sex that keep these bussiness's ...going try to be fair in your criticsim.. most sydney S.O.P. venues are not numorous and they all need support. cheers astralwalker.

Guys not much room in a hotel, you have to keep noise down. No xxx porno showing, No music, Not very discreet as you would have to register, sign books, come face to face with many staff and have the potential to bump into someone you know! The Playground has 6 play rooms, 3 big screen porno showing all night, screamm proof and very discreet. All for FREE! Would love to hear what bad things you heard about The Playground? Come and play here... seriously!

We recently went to the playground it was only 50 bucks so was very good value. four big rooms 4 different scenes in each nice clean warm enviroment swingers check this one out we given it our stamp of aproval lisanbrad

For those who are interested, there are some comments and ratings about The Playground under community/clubs and organisers listings (see above). Your host, Jean is from Melbourne. You may/may not be aware that Melbourne claims to have the largest swingers community in Australia. All thanks to the many affordable house parties just like The Playground. No swingers parties in Melbourne would charge any couples anywhere near what Sydney charges. No wonder couples here in Sydney resort to meeting privately in hotels and private houses! I attended a swingers party last week in Melbourne and there were probably around 1500 people there (couples only party $45 per couple). Yes guys you are missing out!! I truly believe that the largest swingers in Australia are actually here , in Sydney. The clubs here in Sydney just don't seem to encourage this with their sky high prices! Yes The Playground is not the club that you are used to here in Sydney, but it does the job! Come and play here, SERIOUSLY!

Similar to that suggested by SINXSEX earlier in this thread, we had done pretty much as they have outlined but taken it a little further. We are a group based in Western Sydney. We have regular meet and greet nights at the various local clubs and other locations where everyone can meet in a social no pressure environment where the only thing that anyone is ever required to pay is their own way. Most times a number of us will go back to either our place or someone else’s place but there is no requirement for anyone to be any more involved in anything more than they are comfortable with. If all someone wants to do is come along and meet a few of us socially they are always very welcome. A number of the couples also host various kinds of events at their homes from purely social get togethers to play nights and theme nights such as lingerie – toga – sexy school girl nights etc. We also regularly have weekends away on the Central Coast or one of the Ski Parks on the Hawkesbury River. We are not new and trying to get off the ground either having been around for a few years now with a well established membership and we have our own web site, Fun In Western Sydney to bring it all together, all of which is TOTALLY FREE. As we said above the only thing anyone is ever expected to pay for is their own drinks etc and the BBQ’s etc are usually BYO. If you don’t like the idea of paying a $ 150.oo to walk in the door somewhere for a few hours we might be just what you are looking for. Cheers Michael & Debbie Fun In Western Sydney

Reading through these articles and being a swingers club owner i feel the need to respond. Yes we think $150 is way too much for a night out. But you have to remember that is only $75 each with nothing more to pay! But having said that you pay for nothing else. You get rooms, sheets, soft drinks free, condoms, lube and a whole night of fun, full staffed ( we are ) We at Couples International don't charge that much at all, we simply charge $100 a couple and byo alcohol ( you see it is against the law to be licensed in Queensland and have sex on premise), we offer memberships for $100 a year and that allows you to enter for $40 a couple on a Friday Night and $50 a couple on a Saturday Night. We also have nights where our members are totally FREE.. all for just $8.34 per month membership. We have a happy hour from9pm till 10pm every open night where all non member couples are in for $70 a couple. $35 each for a whole night out! Try and do that anywhere! So you see, we cant charge for drinks and you are stepping on a fine line if you give alcohol away as you have to prove that the cover charge wasn't for the alcohol So it simply isn't done at our club. The only money we make is by cover charge as i am sure Lotus Lounge does too. So it is not about money at all for us it is a hobby . it is about supplying a full night out of fun and enjoyment to likeminded adults. We get around 200 people through our venue over the Friday and Saturday Nights and on every theme night we get over 200 people on the one night..! FACT We have to employ 7 staff to keep up with our patrons.! Our average age of patrons is about 20-35 or 40 as we are a nightclub style venue. Check us out if you are up our way...we offer all interstate visitors half price entry to our venue. A lot of rhp users fly up here just to go to our club.! Nothing like us in SEQ if not Australia. Offering the half price entry for interstate visitors was what clenched the deal!!!!! and its great to try clubs around the country. We have been to LOTUS LOUNGE,many of times,if you get there before 9.30 pm it is only $100.00,It,s one of the best clubs around,would never go to the Couple club again,Such a sleazy place,that,s our opinion.

We are so pleased that so many NSW rhp users are coming up to Queensland this weekend to have some fun at Couples International. Our standard offer of half price entry to interstate visitors is the reason behind a lot of the visitors coming to our Club. Loving couple,try the LOTUS LOUNGE,and compare the two,Lotus i so much nicer,and cleaner,Far as the host goes,They are great people ,they were fantastic 1st time we ever went there,And will keep on going there,As 1 couple stated above LOTUS LOUNGE ,is the best club in Sydney.

Hi Guys We are new to the swinging scene and visited the Lotus last Friday. We only paid $100 being our first time and had the opportunity to leave and get $50 back. However we stayed and had a great night. Only played with one couple but watched many others having fun. The hosts were amazing and made us feel very relaxed and explained the rules of the house. Not sure if we would go back unless it was a special event and then worth paying the dollars.

We have been to c club a few times and yes $150 is way too expensive because as with our last visit,we paid and there were only a handful of couples in the whole place! We wont be in a hurry to go back thats for sure but in saying that c club is not sleazy at all.

Once again, it just comes back to different strokes for different folks. We simply have had better times at the couples club and played with far more people, irrespective of the building. We could all argue politics or religion here, but what works for one doesn;t necessarily work for another.

the reason we have different clubs/different prices is because ppl have the choice to try and see if it suits them.there is an event that will suit someones demographic and price range (personally i like the Lotus but thats our choice and our opinion only) far be it for us to poopoo one place in favour of another (if you dont like shopping at Kmart for clothes then you can go to Myers) once again a personal choice or as my partner pointed out its like choosing a sex worker do you go to the cross and get it cheap or go for the $500 model at Stilettos the choice is all yours and the outcome is however you choose to make of it.this whole lifestyle is about living and learning, be positive and you will attract the right ppl no matter where you are :)
