  I've used Air BnB.... it was.... clean, well presented accommodation. Perhaps thats not the kind of *interesting* youre seeking?!

  My guy used airbandb when he went to Europe a couple of years ago. He said the accommodation was superb and the hosts very obliging. And much much cheaper than hotels.

  We've had good experience too, just booked for December January in Northern NSW again. It's not cheap, but interesting and cool places in which to stay. M_D4 - Posted from rhpmobile

  I've had 2/2 great experiences this year in Easter in Sydney and then later in Tokyo, booked very last minute and didn't want to pay costly hotel prices and definitely didn't want to stay in a hostel which I usually did when I travelled alone 5-10yrs ago. Some great choices around. Booked early in Maleny, for a wedding in Montville and can't wait for the stunning views 😍
