Bores me to death most of the time. I'm afraid I'm in that percentile lol I like to watch and partake in forced type sex, never really thought about the humiluation factor when playing but certainly many others would it that way. Jay... my assumption of CMs comment is that sure, your doco was an American production with American people in it.... .....but the nature of porn and its link to the internet is that it's a global marketplace..... and what was made in the US show is sold to an international market. We do not like porn that humiliates, degrades, disrespects & mistreats women, even if it’s just feigned. It is a disturbing trend that so many people, these days, not only find it to be acceptable., but also seem to enjoy it. What also concerns us is that some people might learn the wrong things / get the wrong impression by what’s portrayed in some of these movies and may in turn think that it is acceptable and that all women enjoy being choked, slapped in the face, spat at, strangled and generally treated like “pieces of meat “during sex. If anyone tried that with us,it would be an instant turn off as we would stop all proceedings immediately. Perhaps we are old fashioned? Perhaps it’s our upbringing , in which we were taught to respect women and that physical violence ( even perceived & feigned) is not acceptable by any means. Combining sex and violence is never a good idea and we read somewhere that movie that combine the two, possibly contribute to an increase in violent sexual assault - a copy cat culture. - Posted from rhpmobile

I've pretty much given up on porn altogether, find it either a little too homemade (shaky handheld phone footage at wonky angles), unrealistic (a complaint about porn since caveman days) or it involves too much of the bloke mistreating the woman. Choke-holds seem to be a thing these days, which unnerves me greatly. Having said that, earlier this year I had a woman who liked her hair pulled reasonably hard/roughly whilst we were going at it doggy. I have never had this before, not once, and I was quite confused. I complied, but of course I started off quite lamely at it (kinda sorta not into hurting people), was encouraged to basically grab a fistful and pull harder, then harder, then harder again - to the point of her head being pulled quite back. She enjoyed it, I certainly didn't though. Like I say, that's the first time I've ever encountered such a request, so maybe a bit of pain/humiliation is becoming a thing? Is it one of those chicken-or-the-egg scenarios - porn made it popular or people liked it before and porn now gives them an outlet?

That porn normalises behaviours such as you have described Jayme. I won't go into my beliefs about why its popular or considered acceptable. I do accept that when people make informed choices and negotiate and consent to rough or humiliation play, that is their business. I think for young women getting into the porn the question has to be asked "are they giving fully informed consent?"

Jayme, I agree. I posted a similar question the other day just to discover it has been removed. I still do not know why, as it was worded carefully only to be seen as an honest question. Could someone tell me what happened? I was never a big fan of porn but never considered myself to be prude, yet the disturbing tendency towards violence worries me and would like to know the reasons behind. I doubt there is only one. Consent is never enough. In prostitution and overwhelmingly in porn pleasure of women is not considered important and in my belief, those industries are pushed to satisfy in new and more extreme ways their clientele. They come with types of violence during sexual acts in order to satisfy a particular group of clients, those who bring most money? Thank you for this thread.(Ms)

I'm with you... I don't equate sex with pain . There seems to be quite a few both men and women who do ' and get off on it.. Everyone to their own I guess but for me I'm not about to sit down and watch some poor bugga get humiliated or pained just for my own sexual gratification. Just my opinion..

I think porn is here to stay, so people must be able to have conversations about it, especially between parents and others to upcoming generations. If you are educated in general, you can make such informed decisions about right and wrong, good and bad. The problem arises when porn is the only educational and/or entertainment tool available. Such education should come from parents and general community, as well as schooling, and while some conservatives are against certain types of content in the school, unfortunately it may be the only option for those kids without very good parental or other community nurturing. - Posted from rhpmobile

It was disturbing to see young girls running from small town America. Most were seeking fame and money. Poor deluded girls! They had a shelf life less than 3 months. But Those images will haunt them for the rest of their lives. The young guy that was keeping them was no more of a pimp to me. Hope their is a secret place in hell for him.
