Quoting 'Qefenta3'Is philosophical discussion like foreplay to you?.....do you feel more lust for the mind than the body? No necessarily philosophical, but someone will have to seduce me with their words if they want half a chance at getting their hands on me.

Intelligence is a feature I actively look for in even casual partners, and delving into each others' minds can be a big part of foreplay for me. I could never be in a relationship with someone I didn't find intellectually stimulating. Not sure that I can strictly class myself as a sapiosexual though because I do need to have a certain degree of physical attraction to the person as well.

I hope you don’t mind me sitting in on your lecture for a moment? I’m no Sap, but I do love your versatility

Why I like my own company and talk to myself all the time. A pretty body is great to looks at but a bright brain is my wonderwall.

sure someone with intelligence but philosophy, no. How do you classify intelligence? Do you measure it by the big words they know the amount of subjects they can debate? Or do you measure it based on their annual labour skills and their common sense. I actually find some can be quite overbearing and oppressive and dare I say boring.

A sci-fi book i read a LOOONG time ago. The entire population of the earth had their brains transplanted in to little fish tanks, and you spent your time 'elevating' to the next level of consciousness. they had worked out the brain activity of just about every creature on the planet, so you could be a whale or a bee.and some people whiled away their CENTURIES having MIND SEX, A direct link to someone else's (or groups of else's) brains for the ultimate fuck sessions. the other person was perfect in every way and the sex would make water splash out of your fish tank.talk about a mind fucking. It seemed they didn't CARE about that next level of consciousness.

Like Missb, intelligence is great but isn't the be all and end all of sexual attraction for me. Besides I don't like hanging with people who are going to make me look dumb...I am good enough at that on my own!

I don't feel more lust for the mind than the body. I believe intelligence is important though, just not lust-wise, and intelligence can be different for different people. (I used to know a lovely blond lady who new everything about fashion, shoes & make-up, I knew nothing, so did not really get along. She looked hot though :). Also I do not think it is sexy having a discussion about the plight of third world countries and possible ways to make them better, or the mathematics required to design a bridge. So no, mutually compatible intelligence for me anyway is important in a relationship, and also important in getting to know someone, but not lustful.

I have heard of this before, though for the life of me I could not recall the name Sapiosexual. I'm very much a mentally stimulated person and whilst yes some part of me does find intelligence arrousing, for me personally it is a combination of everything. that doesn't mean the person I'm attracted too has to be a genius supermodel that is the CEO of a giant corporation. Hehehe. I digress (I'll do that). Back to my point that peanut butter is great on a sandwich with banana. Wait that's a different forum. Sapiosexual. Yes, .. I can see how the attraction would work for some people :-) and I can definitely see how it can and does play a part in a lot of people's worlds. I enjoy conversing on a multitude of levels. A conversation doesn't always need to revolve around sex for things to be fun. :-) - Posted from rhpmobile
