I think it's a really interesting problem, and I can see why the OP had to ask. If he asks the brother (who is a Bro), then it invokes clause 87 of the code "A Bro does not cockblock another Bro for any reason" , then under the code, the Bro(ther) must say go for it. However, Clause 11 "A Bro will not sleep with another Bro's sister. However a Bro is allowed to be vocal about her level of attractiveness" However again, clause 40 "A Bro shall not damage another Bro's chances to score" must surely come into play. So, that is quite the quandary. I don't know the case law, is the friend in fact in breach of Bro code by simply being a Bro and thus, without realising, damaging a Bro's chance to score AND potentially being a "cockblock". I'm assuming the Sister is not ALSO a Bro (Girl-Bro) in which case rule 130 is quite clear. Brolife ain't the cakewalk you'd think it would be. True dat. Now, before people say anything bad about Bro's, remember rule 112: Bros wear their pants/trousers above their arse.

My bro code says that sex with your mates barely-legal sister is a no go. As is sex with your mates mum. As is sex with your mates ex-girlfriend....too soon after they've broken up. And so on. It's about what level of respect you have for your mate. If entertaining the idea feels wrong-ish...that's because something is saying it is-ish.

...and another one to add to the code : If I got the opportunity, I wouldn't fuck my mates daughter. In summary, to me the code means not knowingly doing anything that would cause pain or discomfort to someone I consider worthy of respect. That all parties are of a legal age and consenting is irrelevant. To knowingly or even just possibly cause a friend pain, just for the sake of getting my dick wet...for the chance to taste the once-forbidden fruit...is callous and irresponsible. I feel quite strongly about the code. It's a set of rules for living.

Heres the issue I have with the so called Bro Code. Its utter crap. Its like...... I have a pie.Its my pieNobody else can have my pieBut now, Im finished with my pie, but nobody else that I know is allowed to have any of my pie which I no longer want because it used to be my pie.Someone is hungry for my pie which I don't want, but I deny them that pie, and they should deny themselves too because of the Code. How totally selfish and stupid. FFS.A pie is designed to be eaten, but, some silly code concept denies the pie its destiny??!!!. Its just an analogy, clearly..... because the difference is.... we are not pies, we are people and people have a choice to do what makes them happy for a minute, which may also make them happy for a lifetime. Its ironic that everyone joins this site to further their own choices..... In this topic, the OP has a choice, and the woman has a choice too. To deny them both the opportunity to exercise that choice because of some invisible (and lets be frank about it, entirely flexible anyway) code....... is just stupid, and rather arrogant. * Note, this is different to respect, and self respect.

As my friend, he is aware that my feelings for my former pie will not have changed overnight and that if he were to consume it now, my already present feelings of loss would be compounded by other unpleasant feelings. I would hope...and expect...that my friend would spare me those unpleasant feelings and find another pie to eat for the time being. Because it's just a pie to him, and there are plenty more to be found at the bakery. But it's only my former pie...and he would be aware of this...that may cause me some anguish if he were to eat it. **Of course, this analogy still doesn't allow for a pie making choices of its own. But that shouldn't change the choices of the friend**

Personally I find it a little wierd as to why a brother would have a problem with one of their friends hooking up with their sister. I've always found that odd. I have two sisters and the idea has never bothered me. Maybe it's because I don't make friends with people whom I wouldn't want to date my sister. When I was about 19/20 I was dating a sort of distant friend of mine's sister who was 17/18. We had to be on the downlow because she was scared of him losing it if he found out. To me that's just plain wierd. Is it some kind of incestuous jealousy thing? She was drop dead supermodel gorgeous and all, but still. - Posted from rhpmobile

.. you need to weigh up the end result. A mate is a mate is a mate.. Put yourself in his shoes and think about what you might think if he was thinking about fucking your sister. ? It might mean bugger all but then again it might not. If he's a close mate , definite consideration. If not , no great drama. Really gets down to you and the girl when all's said and done.

I think the two year age gap in this (and most any) example is pretty insignificant really; particularly when you consider how girls are frequently (though of course, not always) much more mature and level-headed than boys are at that age. In terms of 'legality': at 17 years of age, she was not legal to drink or vote, yet he was. That is immaterial. I don't see how or why that should stand as an impediment to the relationship. What if such a relationship were to fully develop into marriage and kids? Your best mate could become your Brother-in-Law and the Uncle of your children. That could be one of the greatest things since sliced bread... I think the biggest point to this whole deal is that if you truly have respect for yourself, your mate, his sister, his whole family - you would not treat his sister as merely a "fuck". A genuine relationship is a different kettle of fish. Most people would have the good sense to understand that.
