Bromides, platitudes, superficialities and clichés

The oft-heard complaint about introductory messages is that they are meaningless, formulaic (cut/paste), or trivial.Having spent some not-inconsiderable time reading the profiles RHP tells me are 'suitable', I've come to the conclusion many members get exactly what they deserve.Profiles with nothing to go on will generate formulaic responses. Where is the person in all these clichés?So, I thought it might be useful to provide some clear translations for the standard patter I keep reading.GSOH: I'll laugh at you after we meet.Easy-going: I usually wear tracksuit pants.Relaxed: I haven't washed those tracksuit pants for 3 months.Passionate: I like to orgasm.Fun-loving: I don't mind if you orgasm. After me.Non-judgemental: I watched the Mardi Gras parade on television. Once.Open-minded: I work with someone who I think might be gay.Seeks attractive: I use so much fake tan that I'm orange.I'm attractive: I have fake tits.Like to meet up for drinks first: Won't reply to you.Discrete: Won't reply to you.I'm overwhelmed with messages: Won't reply to you.Quirky: Smelly.Intelligent: Illiterate.Professional: Unemployed.Non-pushy (and seek same): I'll tell you when we'll meet.Average: Has a hunchback and walks with a limp. May or may not reside in a bell tower.Please NO SINGLE GUYS!!!: Has 157 RHP friends, all of them single guys.So, to solve this seemingly intractable problem - rubbish profiles lead to rubbish messages - I beg you, please put something uniquely you, genuine and personal in your profile. I will if you will.** Yes, yes, I've used all of these words myself in my profile and/or intro messages. Double standards are twice as good.

I am passionate AND funloving...and I do indeed have a GOSH However.... I dont use any of those particular cliches....I get plenty of flirts, messages , propositions... . Maybe that is why

Ha!! I am guilty of using a couple of those in my profile, but I definitely don't have fake boobs and I can string a sentence together at least.Sometimes I think there is a competition going on that I'm not aware of to see who can use the word 'fun' the most number of times in their profile.

Damn....I've checked my profile...and it contains not a single Bromide, platitude, superficiality or cliché. Guess i'll have to go back to the drawing board and try again.
