Car delights

November 24 2012

Hi readers,   I'm not the type to post self absorbing topics about myself or base them on being shallow but i heard something on the radio about a survey and cars.   I know this topic will seem boring but i overheard on the radio about a survey that was answered by women about the ideal man and it included the preferred car women like guys to drive.   Do women consider the car a guy drives as crucial? What is the ideal car that women prefer a guy to have?   A materialistic type topic but a simple one.   The preferred car in this survey was an Audi lol.

I've had partners who rode harleys, drove custom lines, opted for they pedestrian but ever-so reliable commodore, had souped-up muscle cars, or fancy schmancy cars and so on. Not fussy as long as it's clean, reliable, and doesn't rule their life :) Oh, and it should offer some comfort for shenanigans ;)

LOL....yep love my man to have a nice car.   Audi is top of my list. But then I'm a Leo and we love a bit, ok a lot of luxury!   Second, is a nice, well maintained, 4wd for those off road fun and games days out. Land Cruiser, Range Rover....   Third, a muscle car....something that thunders along and you can feel the vibrations resonate through you....mmmm   Went out with a guy once who had a little 4 cylinder petrol saver micro car....I found it a complete turn off. I felt like I was driving around with a gf!   Sounds shallow but there is definitely something very masculine and sexy about a nice car.   SFxx

Or even booster seats...just a Tradies dual cab or any Ute with space to put lots of Camping gear in the back of...   That, or a WB Ute with a hole in the muffler..god!!! Enough to give a girl a wide on!!!

Cars aren't really my thing so as long as it's reliable and definitely must be clean... although I do have a thing for tradies so a ute is always nice :)

Who cares about cars?Well women it seems ,must be why i am single :0Give me something between my legs that shake's ,rattle n rolls ,and im one happy commuter.I tent to find that people who drive luxury cars cannot drive.Especially those big European 4WD's.And what's up with big men trying to fit into a Ferrari/Lambo?Talk about a sardine in a can.I am amazed that a "dodgem car" was not the Number 1 pick.Only car i have ever driven,it was fun tho.Audi was number one pick? Well each to their own i guess.

Think James Bond pulled off cool driving like a ................2 door manual 2008 Red Hyundai Accent ???? !!!   AH NO   Aston Martin all the way baby....................droool.................what I'd give to have a ride in a Vantage or even a DB7 .........and not the ride your thinking....you would NEVER do that in the Aston....respect please   Living in Perth - every second bloke here owns a 4WD...is some sort of macho, mining, bush bashing, beach driving, part of the pack mentality thing happening here.   They have a mindset that the bigger the better their rig is at hogging all the car space available at the local shopping center, the better....   Nope give me a man that values speed over 4WD clumsiness..............2 door sports will do nicely.....minus baby booster seats...   Alas not too many Astons - SOR..............:(

i like a 4x4, rough with charictor. or something fast, older thats had a lot of work done on it :) I like working on cars myself so it means i have something in common and i can talk about easily.     few years ago me and one of the girls i used to work with had a bit of a fun challenge, to see which brand of ute had the most room in the cab to play lol, so we needed guys with utes, and out west -well we found em...   anything with a bench seat in the front was great lol....

Kizza....I love to go for a ride on something between my legs too. LOL In this instance I'm talking bikes. Great for a ride in the country or to the beach.   Not really an issue for guys but consider the girls situation. Not so great when you've spent money on nice clothes, shoes, ages getting yr hair to look just right, make up to impress a certain someone. Then get off the bike and you have smudged makeup, helmet hair and yr clothes.... Nuf said! Bikes have their place and are a massive amount of fun but cars are more practical, especially if its raining!!!   Best of both worlds, have one of each   SFxx

Which maybe has dampened any positive sexual or psychological association for me. In this instance it's not the quality of the ride that is important to me it's the journey. Having said that... Firetruck :P

I borrowed a friend's Maserati, drove around the Crown plaza until I saw a very spicy looking lady walking slowly down the street. I touched the horn, said hello and she jumped right on in. She told me to turn into the first available underground parking lot and went down on me the minute the car stopped.   I tried the same thing with another friend's rusty old Citroen and damned if the same thing didn't happen other than the woman was a bit taller and blonde.   I was going to try the same thing again with my own car which is somewhere in between but just couldn't do it. At $200 a pop for each lady for sake of pure science, this experiment was already over budget.   I'm actually glad to hear that the kind of woman I would want to meet isn't really a car-ist, although happy to take you for a ride to some very secluded underground parking lots any time you like.

I drive a Champaign coloured Toyota 4x4.. beautiful car.. Bought it because it is a nice car low K's. Never even think of it as a attraction for the females.. If it does, thats good... If it dont, thats good too..Personally' I think anyone who buys a car as a extension of their masculinity have got it wrong... Unless you have zilch personality or was behind the door when looks were handed out' its still gets back to you.. You are what you are ? Spending thousands of dollars on a piece of metal wont change a thing...The girls I meet would not have a clue what I drive unless asked ... Its about the person , not the car...

Speaking of JB cars, we are looking forward to Tuesday night for two reasons:   1. Seeing Skyfall in 4K HD.   2. Top Gear has a special show dedicated to James Bond cars (hit the record button).   Now let get something straight about Audi's, they are the poorer cousin of German cars and after owning an Audi TT Quattro I would never buy one again, things just stop working, parts are expensive, value's depreciate to much, they are just not value for money. One good point about this car was that both guys and girls loved the TT and it was received well.   I am a German car enthusiast and think that Audi design cars beautifully, they just don't put them together well. Yes, the Audi R8 is a kick arse looking car and they look and sound great, but for that money I would rather buy a new Aston Martin DBS or a Porsche 911.

Give me an Aston Martin vanquish, a Maserati 3200gt (twin turbo v8.....drool), XW Fairmont with a massive blower hanging out the bonnet, and if we're gonna talk bikes, custom chopper, or Suzuki hayabusa, 325km/hr oooooohhhhhh yeah

Many of those mean it but many just tell you that while it really does matter to them. Some say it doesn't so as not to encourage a male's infatuation with their car. Some say it because they believe they're expected to say it to be a lady. From some of them, it's a half truth in that the type of car you drive doesn't impress them but if they veiw your car as a penis extension, they'll think less of you. Other ladies won't care whether you drive a Hyundai or a BMW as long as it's well maintained and tidy, not a smokey, rust bucket.

So it has to be more expensive than mine to start with.I like big and chunkyorsleek and EuropeanAlthough I did see a tall, dark and delicious man driving a Maloo the other day which made me look twice. Each of those cars represent a quality I desire in a man. The first is "Masculine", the second" Expensive" and the third" Fun".Now if I were to find a man with all 3, by golly I think I may just marry him

I know sucks when it rains, even worse when it hails,i was caught in hail 3 weeks ago and a hail stone hit me right on my pecker<<<<I can understand that women would not want to go on a bike as a helmet ruins their hair and make up.But it beats a paper bag :0Cars are good but traffic sucks ,id drive if traffic jams were not so bad in Sydney.

A car is an expression of life. Its something you get or do not understand. It transends life. To drive a car that is you is to live life. It cannot be explained.

Doesnt make much difference - the ladies wouldnt know if it was a $30k Audi or a $230k Audi in my experience   The blokes know exactly what it is.   It is clean inside though.....thats what they like

There are 100 things more important about a man than what car he drives. That said, a messy car would be a turn off.

Kizza, hope all returned back to good form!   I planned to move to Sydney in 2004. After spending 4 days there and enduring the traffic, I decided to come back to Perth and take my house off the market!   Best decision I ever made. House price more than doubled a couple of years later. But I think the traffic followed me back here! Love you guys moving here from the east but you can keep the traffic. LOL   SFxx

Quoting 'MrJingles' Doesnt make much difference - the ladies wouldnt know if it was a $30k Audi or a $230k Audi in my experience   The blokes know exactly what it is.   It is clean inside though.....thats what they like   I do like an Audi, not because of how much it cost but I'm very much into design and style and the luxury of the experience.   IMHO I have found that men that have stylish cars also appreciate quality. This is a generalisation obviously and appreciating style doesn't make anyone a nice person. If you appreciate beauty and style then you are likely to also have some class and style about you. I find that very sexy.   A beat up car, paint peeling, exhaust pipe rattling, etc. often bares an interestingly accurate reflection of the driver and how they look after themselves.   Having an interest in a man's car isn't necesarily a shallow thing but looking for clues as to how he lives his life and if its what you want. Just one of many facets in sizing someone up.   SFxx

Taught my girlfriend to drive when I was younger, couldn't understand why she always wanted to do me in the car, she later told me it turned her on so much tat I took the time to teach her, and she would sit there and get turned on while watching me work on the car, and it would turn her on more when I would modify the engine. The engine wasn't the only crank I was turning at the time......

Ok, this might sound horribly materialistic but yes it does matter what kind of car a guy has! Not so much for random encounters obviously. But if I would ever consider dating a guy it is hell important what car he has. Absolute no-go for me would be a guy without a car/licence! My ex didn't have a licence I'm so fed up with that! I notice how important a nice car is every day I'm driving around Perth ... I have the tendency to check out guys in other cars.... and there is a noticeable tendency to me checking out guys in utes and 4wds....

Since I am at home behind the wheel of a 500hp race car I prefer guys that are on my motoring level.I don't know why the preference is for Audi's. They have too many faults and are expensive to fix.

If we want to have hot sex in it. If his car means more to him then the fun we're having. Imagine putting yr high heels out the window and scratching an Audi. Brings back memories, not nice to squirt in a nice car.Although it did happen in a brand new car, the owner ,loved it and came back, but bought his other car,lol and we moved up from the car then. Now an old VN commodore I didn't get in trouble when I had my feet on the ceiling. Memories, lol
