Chat room and webcams

June 19 2014

I've been visiting the chat rooms lately. I turn on my cam and in I go. Sometimes the chat flows so fast I can just read it as it flows by, so I lurk. Sometimes I engage someone and chat, all good so far.I do have a question about cam etiquette here. I've noticed that people check me out out...sometimes for anything up to 30 seconds! Sometimes when I check someone out the reaction varies. Some bail from their cams & stop broadcasting, one chatter decline me viewing them and others don't appear to mind me viewing their cam.On one other site it was expected that you asked before viewing, another bigger site didn't seem to need this. So what is the etiquette here on RHP?I'm not a creep but if I'm perceived as one that's just too bad, when I get well again and go back to work I'll be spending less time here anyway...

I jumped in their a few weeks ago...did my effin head in - drove me mental! It was quite overwhelming for me. It's not like how it used to be. :( I couldn't keep up with the conversation that quickly flowed, nor the whispers - too many for me! To be honest, it did nothing for me as I want the human touch more so than to watch. I remember my first cam experience when I first joined...poor little darling even cleaned up after himself - bless his cotton socks. :) Foxy

We find there is not as many on the RHP chat room as one of the other sites we are on so we don't really go in there as much anymore!. As for the cam when we do get on cam we get a lot of people looking even if we just sitting there!. I think the most we had was 86 viewers one time but once again different site!..

Its rare if someone asks to view my cam and most dont and neither do i. You can set your cam for people to request viewing if you prefer and thats what i do most of the time. Sure it moves fast sometimes but if your talking to just one at a time u just watch for there line of chat. Its something you get used to over time and of course you can always ask to chat privately but asking first is always more polite. I enjoy my study breaks and chat everyday, its a great way to catch with friends and friends that you havent met from other states but enjoy the banter. It also especially in WA in the summer time where impromptu bbq's and pool parties are organised on the spot. Happy Days get in there and say hi ithere are some great people to meet and of course some not so nice but you get that anywhere.

I used to really enjoy the chat rooms once upon a time(especially the CI room). Loved regularly clowning around on cam. lolI have seen the new chat rooms but never really bothered to use it, they seemed fairly inefficient compared to the old ones & all of the constant beeping drove me up the wall.

I popped my head in the other night and it was like watching a slot machine, it just didn't stop. 2 People said hi when I first went in and I had no idea how to reply to them, lol. I then found a lady who had 32 people watching her drinking a cup of tea. How many of you would pay the membership fee to watch someone drinking tea?
