Coffee, Tea, both or neither?

June 14 2017

Which camp are you in and how do you have it? Milk, sugar, straight, hot, cold, dripped,on ice, with sparkling water, store bought or home made... Interesting to see what beverage personalities we have - Posted from rhpmobile

At home, it's either Twinings Earl Grey, or Rooibos tea. With milk & no sugar. When out and about, a cappuccino or golden milk late (turmeric) - Posted from rhpmobile

As per our name same, Tea all the way. From Oolong, white, black, rooibos, herbal, green.... we could go on. We have somewhat of an indulgent tea selection. Personal pick this week... Ginseng Oolong, prepared with 85 degrees water, no milk. - Posted from rhpmobile

A delicious smooth less acidic cold brew/drip over a number of hours. Either with sparkling water or a dash of soy depending on taste profile. That's the go to when it comes for our coffee tongues Now tea, that's another matter....the variety gets overwhelming at times. But we do love a good balanced chai and lots of herbal and root mixes. I enjoy a lot of fruity citrus teas while she prefers more savoury notes - Posted from rhpmobile

Variety, variety, variety... terms of engagement include... only in colder weather! Coffee, I'm a caffeine free imbiber. I love the coffee bags wrapped in foil, each cup is from a newly opened pouch. Perfectly hot and heady, and not adding to that overdose of adrenalin my body constantly lives with. I do like the taste of the Moroccan variety better though but save that for moments I can look after myself if it affects my belly. I know, boring, right? Tea, our current taste temptation... You can keep the caffeine free variety. :-P After years of buying the hundred packs, the family getting smaller, and more of if it going to waste over time. We bought small amounts of the 10 pack varieties wrapped in their own pouches when they were on special recently. Morning, afternoon, black and green varieties, it's all in the flavour. There's peppermint tea for it's health benefits, must work on the smaller packs there too. All unused bags, haha and used, go to the garden. Lactose free milk with the tea to minimise the amount of lactose that can make me feel so ill for days on end. Sugar and milk is none for the coffee bags, the swirl of canned cream on top does the job of both. I love to sweeten my tea (including the herbal varieties) with a whole teaspoon of sugar, lol, cut down from the 2 teaspoons many years ago and while coffee did go down to a 1/2 tsp of sugar, 1tsp maked a perfectly well rounded cup of tea. Honey, lemon tea was awesome when I was sick last week. Plenty of honey and lemon with weak, black tea. Worked like a charm. Cheers Science, I think it might be time for a cuppa... Peachy

I have Bulletproof, to offend all the coffee lovers 😜. I don't like tea or coffee. I have it for pre-workout and to stay awake during the work day 😁 - Posted from rhpmobile

Strong tea in the morning, usually one in the car, one at work. Then a strong latte around 11am. Sometimes a cup of tea in the afternoon, depending on the energy lag. Thursdays are pretty hectic for me, so I find thats a two latte day.

...espresso straight up and served intravenously if I have to get up before 7:00 a.m. After that, an extra-strong latte suits most any time of the day. I do like iced tea on a hot summer day and even better if it's the Long Island version!

I've loved the "proper coffee" ever since I came here 30 years ago, I have about 5 each day, flat white is my preferred brew. However, on weekends when I have to wait till 9.30 for my first proper cup, and I get up at 6am, it's a couple of mugs of instant that do it for me. Done well it's very satisfying and hits the spot! My whole family is very particular with their hot drinks. Each one requiring finesse and special tea cups are brought out for when my parents visit. I'm a tea girl, Ceylon preference. I don't touch earl or grey, anything! Soup bowl size, up to 8 times a day. I make mine with a dash of lactose free milk (recent change) and sugar, very dark, and a splash of chilled water after as I'm impatient. My husband makes me excellent tea! He's a good sort. -L_D xx - Posted from rhpmobile

Than someone offering to make you a drink and adding too much milk or sugar. Not enough is always rectifiable. Too much is a sin! - Posted from rhpmobile
