In the year I've been here, I've been a bit of everything (minus the advertising). There have been times where I commented on every single thread, and more than once. I do try to keep my posts on topic, and serious if the topic demands it, but there have been many flippant and off-topic remarks over time. At the moment I'm finding myself post a bit less and trying to avoid in-jokes that not everyone gets or likes. There are certain posters I admire for their on-topic, fair and insightful answers, and they have certainly had an influence on what I write. Ideally I would only post on those threads where I feel I can add something. I'm not quite there yet though. Time will tell...

A little while back we posted a lot, but just recently have found that not many threads have prompted a desire to respond. We like the odd serious thread, but have to say we prefer having a bit of fun on here...Not because we don't like a serious discussion, but just because we find the discussion often gets a bit heated, and the message often lost.

If you stand back and listen, we sound like a gabble of turkeys.Tara laughs a lot, and I can't shut up.To look at the forum topics as a whole, some topics interact with others and the more one becomes involved with the forums, what may appear to be off topic, could very well be in it's part on topic. It is social conversation, the more peeps in the conversation, the more one spills to another and so on. Occasionally party crashers turn up and upset the rhythm,by upsetting a friendly environment, the friends stick by each other, the crasher either joins in, or feel the pressure of the disapproval and move on. I'm a lover of forums across all spectrums. I can only ever post in a topic I either find interesting or feel I can "add value" too. I'm very much a "shades of grey" kind of girl as well , and NO//not "THAT" grey shades but one that does not conform to black and white thinking so I enjoy reading how a topic plays out and who puts forward a rather compelling story/arguement. I think some use this area as a form of "advertising" and I bet it works in their favour so cudos to them. Also I think some take it as a popularity contest but that is always the case in forums and some invest waaaaaay too much time and effort in here but again thats how these areas play out. I have been intrigued that at meet and greets when you do meet some forum peeps , for me it's just out of curiosity, if they live up to their persona . I tend to type here as I talk in real life ( all over the place(!?!)so maybe mooka some are like me..( Ive like seriously had to re read your topic like 5 times to make sure I'm still on track and I think Ive run adrift any ways!!!)apologies... mrs sat xx

Never tried a pick up here. Never post anything insightful and seldom relevant. I need to practice my bullshit. Its important to be able to speak concise and intelligent bullshit. You must look like you know what you are on about, appear confident, and have the worldly air of experience. I have been commenting on forum posts recently purely as an effective means of wiping out my 'Recent Activity'. I'm selective and can only hope they are of value in some small way to either the OP or at least one reader. There is a danger with delayed posting of repeating something that has already been said but I usually see things from a different angle.

Depends on the topic, sometimes I divulge, indulge or remain mute. Other times you just have to pat another poster on the back for being a "forum slut" and a damn fine one at that :) or like Freya says, no one is forcing anyone to read our drivel. The forums can be informative, insightful and fun. At others they can be intimidating and rarely but sometimes critical of a "poster". Anyone and everyone could find themselves here or there that's why it's such a fun place to hang out. And look at all the wonderful people you meet. Michievouslad, Lady T, Freya, Sirlurk, Meeks, Paint, OB1, Kizza, The Spliceys, Madotara, Ms Mes, Cavey (xx), Saturn, geez there's just so many even you Mooka!! And then there's the newbs who come on board, (beautiful picture Kiwibred) among others. Does it really matter if some of the posts are off topic or "out there"? Aren't we all just a melting pot of experience, dreams, desires, fantasies, lust, humour and emotion? That's why we're all here I reckon.....likemindedness and understanding. Or maybe I should remove my rose coloured glasses.....naaaah where's the fun in that? ;-) stay beautiful people!!

I hope I didn't give the impression that I didn't value the posts that are off topic and the like, like some have said, everyone has an opinion and it is their inalienable right to express it - isn't that what the concept of a forum is all about - the free exchange of concepts, opinions and thoughts? If some think that I was against it, I do apologise. God knows I have posted enough dribble and off topic posts in my time lol My post was more to find if you are cautious on what you type, on what thread you post to and whether you (and only you) will only post when you think you can add to the conversation. We have all read those posts that don't refer to the topic, or another post and I sit there and wonder why the poster bothered to type it out. Was it solely to get their post on the forum so people could see their profile picture, was it to hopefully be noticed? Or was it that they felt compelled to post for the fear of being left out?

Yes. I'm cautious in what I type. These people are virtual strangers to me. It's not like having a convo with your mates that " get" where you are coming from, so I usually dilute my reply or can't be bothered giving one. I tend to stay very clear of the " do you like big, small, round short any part of the anatomy" as I find these topics are generally used to alienate or make a person feel superior or inferior and quite frankly are stupid! I have never thought this place as being a way to get our profile out there. I think camming up in chat room gives a higher profile.

I try to be constructive in areas that I am seeking, do not answer to everything, you go mad, sometimes I get silly, but what I wont do is put any one down because their opinions or views differ from mine.

I go through stages where I spend more time in the forums, I like them, there funny, informative and sometimes thought provoking. It gives a broad overview of the personalities, problems and lifestyles of others who share a common interest in sex and all things associated with it! It depends on how I'm feeling at the time whether I respond to a post or not, if I'm in a playfull mood I'll poke my head in a funny stream, if I have knowledge to share and have the time to type without having to flick screens back and forth, I will, if I have an opinion, well lets just say I'm a little wary of negative responses and unless I feel strongly will let it go without comment.

Hi! Mooka:) I tend to be selective to as to which Topics I reply on . Sometimes my Replies are Lighthearted fun. Some deeper if the Topic requires this, with advice I've learned through experience or knowledge on the subject. I share this with Others in general, those following the thread who are in a similar situation . It's entirely up to them if they accept or Ignore My advice It's their Life Journey too, as we all try to learn, use what's of value to our Progress along this Path.. I share this with empathy Not judging or anything in a Negative way . .I hope that when I do People do take it up and their Lives are more easier because of what they read in My Posts.. Cheers Lu :)

It's great to have forums, but also terrible to see people sometimes just posting for attention (not talking about OP here BTW) or to get themselves laid :-)Forums are great as I love chatting to ppl that I haven't met in person (or those I'd love to meet in person) - an this is like chat just not in sync...
