I'll be the first to admit I'll take twenty shots to get two or three that I like and will ask one friend in particular for an opinion. I recently took a shower photo down from my profile after I was told the way I was standing made me look just like Renton in a Trainspotting promo pic.

I think most people get caught up with what they believe others want to see, than having fun presenting themselves in a fun and interesting way.

You have a point, taking pics should be fun, not a chore. I love getting creative, but I can also see how people are uncomfortable before a camera. I don't like posing for others and found the solution by only letting myself take any photos of me. And btw Jerseygirl, I love your new pic, very creative and beautiful.

Love your photos. You are so pretty. I am taking notes on angles anf creative aspects and currently experimenting. But most are just quick selfies. Lol - Posted from rhpmobile

We didn't really have any profile type shots to use in our public profile when we set this up. We scheduled a night and fumbled our way through a stack of takes and retakes with various outfits. Very awkward but we had a lot of fun doing it. We have used more standard shots in our face pic gallery and now keep our profile in mind when we are taking photos. We also had a lot of fun when the local club had a photographer come along (we got some very nice black and white shots with her).

Quoting 'Meander' You have a point, taking pics should be fun, not a chore. I love getting creative, but I can also see how people are uncomfortable before a camera. I don't like posing for others and found the solution by only letting myself take any photos of me. And btw Jerseygirl, I love your new pic, very creative and beautiful. I mostly take shots of myself, but others I get a girlfriend to do for me. I kill a lot of them before I find a good one, as yes I do not want all my flab to be seen, they can grab that part of me when in the sack. I figure if they see me in the flesh and do not run for the hills its good to go. I love taking profile shots for people as I can get them to relax and show their inner beauty as well. Feeling comfortable in your own skin makes for a great picture. Pictures are very important, its a visual thing that attracts us and if you do not put up a decent one you might as well shoot yourself in the foot. But not airbrushed just a reasonably flattering one, and not one that ten years old. I see some shockers and all I can think of is WHY? would you put that up on here. You do not even have to have naked pictures ,so you can always say to a friend, hey does this look like a nice picture of me? I love the people that either put up another persons picture and say its them. I have had a few guys to that. Also one who is an x footy player and he said well that was me 25 years ago. I said no problems I will just get into my tardis and find you, so hold that thought. Little bit of artistic stuff is fine, so long as there is a normal face picture some where in a gallery.Cock shots are fine in there as well, but guys really unless you have some perfect little trouser monster I would leave em in your pants till you meet a woman. I like surprises

5 of mine are selfies , of me just fluffing around and 5 photos were taken by others. My current profile is a selfie. Like others I take like a hundred snaps and like 2. I rotate them around depending on my mood. I had one up recently which attracted some attention for the tattoo thread as I have a large tattoo on my torso with a interesting story attached to it..... it was taken when I was doing a charity carwash to raise funds for my friend who is sick with cancer. It was a fluke shot but I do like it Nope don't ask for advice as I'm my own worse critic. I've taken a few photos of late as I recently changed my hair colour from brunette to blonde and I'm liking the change so I guess I'm taking photos to record this. Blonde is hard though, so much maintenance No I haven't had any negativity regarding photos but even if I did, bad luck, my photos, my profile, if you don't like, click Next.

And the other two similar shots were taken quite easily as I noticed the golden glow of light streaming thru my window which inspired me to take the snaps. Done with a 10 sec timer on my ph. So I could wriggle round enough to cover enough facial features as to hide myself somewhat. Plus it had been a while since I updated. I'm big on lighting angles etc and the only other thing I sometimes use are filters bit that's it. In pg the face pics etc are more standard front on blah blah and I'm probably more critical of what I show there then the ones in public gallery. So yes I'm am quite critical of my own pics but can't be assed taking heaps.

Are all selfies, done with a self timer on my wee Nikon camera. I take four or five, and pick the one with the least visible signs of aging. I should probably smile more, though, that's my lack of confidence showing. There are so many beautiful pics of the ladies on here, I love looking at them.

TJDJ, very nicely done love a lady with curves in all the right spots, many different looks too. Shells, excellent, well worth the $, hubby must love em'. Saturn, you chicks are so good at "selfies", whatever your doin', just keep at it. Koko, as I've said before, your "selfies" are great too, I know how feel about not being photogenic, have a couple of wines, relax and smile, it'll be perfect. Trouble is now I'm struggling to pic a fav, too many good ones. Meander, last but not least, I've PM'd you and got a nice reply in turn, keep on snappin' away. Yes I took over 100 pic's with my R/C cam on tripod, wittled it down 12 shots that I thought were passable, just done body hair removal and tanning, perhaps tonite is the nite to try again. Ladies, your all great and have inspired me. Cheers P.L.

But then it's scary how similar we look too... :-) I suppose we were both going for the 'shades of grey' mood.

reflect myself in my pics, they are just me. I usually only use ones I am happy with, try to give a true impression of my looks and physique. My pg are just filth really.

I think unless your a very confident person most of us are pretty critical of photos of ourselves and probably take 3 or 4 before we are content with the result. I certainly am and I should really update my profile pic as I am not as fit as that anymore but I am too critical to put another up :-) I know I am attached but if you ever get a spare message I would love to chat sometime. - Posted from rhpmobile

I just didn't want to criticize your post (again!) without adding something positive. Riding your coat tails, my arse. Inthekiss, I'm definitely open to the idea of you taking more pics of me next time you're here!

I know what you mean, your profile pic's portray the person you are, going by your posts etc. If your Pg's are just "filth", as Ray Charles said "I'd like ta' see tthhhaaattt". Cheers P.L.

Are pretty much the only ones of me over the past 5 years. I don't like being in photos, it proof that I was there and takes away deniability.

As DG has said they focus their attention on getting a pic that attracts.....instead of letting themselves shine... Personally my main pic was taken by a very unexpected photographer I must say. I didn't actually realise this person had taken such a nice shot until looking at my photo gallery on my phone and I loved it. - Posted from rhpmobile

Your post raises another question. How often do you / should you update your pics? I've been here for a while now and some profile pics never change. Years go by and the same photo remains....

Quoting 'JerseyGirl'How often do you / should you update your pics? I've been here for a while now and some profile pics never change. Years go by and the same photo remains.... I feel that face and full-body shots should not be over 2 years old. Numerous times have I heard from men with pics 8-10 years old that they "haven't changed much" or "look pretty much the same". No go. All of my pics are under two years old (face pics less than a year), bar one. But since that's a pick of my back and shoulders only, I don't feel too guilty.

I did not obtain a waiver to use the photo of the T Rex in my profile. Oh, I tried.... but YOU try holding a pen with those little two fingered hands!

Quoting 'Cuckle_shells' to add a disclaimer. No really big chickens, or peacocks or any others birds for that matter were harmed in any way, shape or form in the making of my photo. Also my skin does not look this smooth in real life unless we meet in a really dark room, with very dim and soft lights and you are very short sighted. Shells. You are even more beautiful inside and out in real life :)

So I like to take my own photos because I am also camera-shy with someone else behind the camera. But I am an exhibitionist, if that makes sense. I do enjoy the attention :) All of mine were taken on my phone or webcam. I, too take dozens to find a few worthy ones to put up. I don't ask for anyone's opinion and only put up what I feel comfortable with and of course, makes me look sensual and a little bit naughty :) I don't alter or touch up any of my pics but do use the cropping tool to remove the clutter or excess background. What you see is what you get with me....if you're standing at the same angle as my camera lens. That's my secret ;P - Posted from rhpmobile

Where did your sexy feathered arse go? Those shots are HAWT! I've just put our face shots away and now I'm not happy with what we've got open, I need some shots of hubby which don't show his face, so need some time to do that, not easy with the kids always hovering.
