I have only been there once so I can't give you an informed opinion. There are a few threads on this topic in the Couples Ask section where someone mentioned a beach close to obelisk that isn't as well know. Sorry I can't remember the name if it off the top of my head. When I went to Obelisk it was pretty much all men and there was lots of play in the bushes. I find that in all these places you will always get a group of men watching. And they often try and touch uninvited. Not on boys!!! >:( So it all depends on what you are after. - Posted from rhpmobile

Meeka, the beach really close by Obelisk is Cobblers. We were there sunning our bits there just a few hours ago! (In theory with a girl from here who didn't show up grumble grumble). It is quite hidden away, only accessible by a very rough bush track or via a longish fire trail. Drive right to the end of Middle Head Road, park and walk down the fire trail to the left which goes downhill and curves around. Aussie, I haven't been to Obelisk but I hear it's a well-known gay beat. Cobblers is very couples-friendly, and even family-friendly (there was a family with an older kid sunbaking near us just the other day). It seems to be the most social of the nudist beaches, although it is surrounded by bush which people regularly disappear into. Lady Bay in Watsons Bay is our other favourite - many more men than women there, and people keep to themselves a lot more.
