Couldn’t help but notice Jessica Rabbit’s thread about organizing an event based around certain criteria, and all the flack she was copping for it. While I agree, if she’s hosting, and it’s her party then she’s well within her right to invite whoever the hell she damn well pleases, it did raise an interesting question in the back of my mind....For all the oft insightful regular forum contributors, how many of you have actually personally planned an event, what were your criteria, how much notice did you give, what was your turn out like and what was the overall outcome? Secondly, couldn’t help but notice a couple of couples complaining about a lack of bi-couple only events, would anyone be interested if such an event were to become available on the horizon? Was thinking of organizing something myself but unless we have the numbers/expressions of interest it’s too much paperwork and far too much of a fiscal riskal at this time of year. - L

I have never organised a meet and greet. But Jessica's wasn't a meet and greet in the usual form....sorry to be stickler for technicalities. But it wasn't. Not going to debate it either. I never would organise much more than a pub either, as so many meet and greets receive a massive amount of expressed interest in the form of "yes I'm coming" and then on the night it's about 33% patronage that actually turns up!!! So why would invest into much??? Besides, aren't meet and greets just that?? A meet and greet without any obligatory strings to attend anything else?? - Posted from rhpmobile
