I always heard that cute meant ugly but interesting. I've been told I'd be cute if I was more interesting.Seriously, from a male perspective I'd say it means they think you are ok but you don't push their buttons.Although come to think of it, I'd say it's less the words and more the tone in which they are delivered.

And the body language that goes with it. I do say guys are cute on here a lot, and your right its to men that are honey but to young for me. They are cute. Its not a bad thing for a woman to say at all Its like a man saying , your very pretty or your a beautiful woman horses for courses, some women are pretty women, some beautiful by the way you are a hunk ...hows that?

Telling someone they're cute, with a cheeky tone and a twinkle in your eye, is absolutely a compliment :) I suspect it's more a reflection of the coyness of the teller that she would choose to say 'cute' rather than 'fuckable' but in no way are the two mutually exclusive!

heres a clue ladies..... dont call men 'cute'...it sucks. we dont like it...its what you call your 4 year old nephew....or the neighbours maltese puppy.............you might think its a compliment.... but its not. and theres not an iota of cynicism in saying this...its the truth.

I use cute when I'm attracted to a guy but he is definitely too young for me. With a son in law in his early 30's...... I just can't go there. Take it as a compliment as its meant to be.

I often say you have a cute cock and I want to eat it alllllllllllllll up. You are so cute when you , make that grunting noise as you fuck my brains out. Your balls are so cute the way I can fill my cheeks with them @Mischievouslad You know a lot about women and it shows, I like alpha kinda guys. You seem to have read the man up manual. but I also like cute hot smooth sweet young fucks as well. They are , just a big a man in the bedroom as any other guy. Those shy things are sometimes just the ticket on a rainy afternoon The thing is TThey may be unsure cute and sweet, as they try to engage you , and yes you think hmmmm will I or not but That can end in a second once they have you in the sheets, men have a way when aroused to be very very alpha, they just do not show it at first. Not all guys that appear to be in control and seductive are worth the effort in the sheets all the time. I like cute now and again , they can surprise you.

Quoting 'Mischeviouslad' Years ago, a girlfriend at the time hugged me, turned to her mother and asked..... "dont you think he's cute?!"The mother looked at me, and said.... "Him? He's too big to ever be called cute...... "WAusMan.... my one piece of advice to you... is to stop BEHAVING in a way that these women have felt compelled to refer to you as cute, because they felt no attraction for you.Ive been howled down for saying this by the ego challenged guys in here, yet....supported for it by the ladies..... (so you'd reckon the guys might actually take their free advice!, but no!).......the inconvenient truth is, that aside from quite general preferences...... women are less focussed on your looks, than men are on a womans looks. So "cute" has nothing to do with your appearance...... but everything to do with what you're not doing to engage them in conversation, escalating the interaction with masculinity, igniting her attraction, curiosity, arousal, sexuality.... Think about it.If you had, they wouldnt be saying you were "cute"... they'd be laughing, flirting, touching you, plainly exhibiting their eagerness just to be around you.If you present your behaviour as a MAN.... you will never be called 'cute' as a way of being kept at arms length or relegated away into her "friend zone".Focus on understanding how Attraction works, build it, and communicate with women in a manner that builds her emotional response to you, with curiosity, intrigue, and most of all, your inherent masculinity. DG Shouldn't you have used quotation marks ?

This is a surprising topic for me ....... I've learnt a bit from reading the replies. I am woman who frequently and vocally appreciates the male form and cute is definitely a word that when used about a guy means "Boom Chicka Bow Wow" lol! It means purrrrrrrrrrr, yummy, I'd love to drag you home so Mr FL and I can play with you! Well, more me be played with by the two of you but you know what I mean lol! If I told a guy he was cute it would definitely mean I was sexually interested in him. I'd like to know how old these women are and what else is said after they tell you you're cute? If I were you I'd be sucking up that cute compliment like candy and playing on it! Of course I sneaked a look at your profile, your photos 1 and 3 definitely would make me think "hmm, you might be cute!" ...... but photo 2 didn't do it for me I'm sorry. Sort of a weird composition. So what I mean by the "might" is that for me cute is all about the face and the twinkle in the eyes and the attitude. Maybe even the voice and the way you carry yourself. I know sometimes people say things to you that don't feel right. I had someone once call me a "sexy beast", and all I could think of was Coach Beast off Glee! I was mortified lol! But he didn't mean it that way at all! So if a cute girl at a bar says to you "mmm, you're cute" ...... go for it lol! Good luck and stay cute! Mrs FL x

Maybe it's because I'm younger and so have a different perspective but saying ur cute is my way of saying ur friendly, not bad looking with a cheeky/friendly smile and a hint of innocence in there and giving u a 'maybe'. Sweet talk me a bit more n u could end up 'hot' Or 'smokin' once we're in the bedroom. Hope this helps! Xx

I get the 'cute' treatment more often than I'd like. I always convey my profound disdain at such disparagement. "Cute?!" I'll scoff. "CUTE?!? I believe the you meant to say 'rugged', 'dashing' and 'cataclysmically enthralling'?"'It never seems to help the situation thought. In fact, it only seems to reinforce it?

Said it before to a man and I'll say it again to a man without a doubt. When I drop the C-bomb on a man it's almost always in response to something he has said or done which has made me feel special. Or frankly it can just be cute, in the literal sense of the word. Men can chuck a smile at you that makes you think, "Oh my, he's so cute!'. When I say it, it's meant as a compliment. Most definitely that you are doing all the right things that make you entirely fuckable! I often end up with that goofy smile spreading across my face when I think a guy is 'cute'. it also means I think he is worth the effort to persue. Each to their own, but I wont stop telling a man he is cute when the timing is right. It's not one I pull out often, and normally its with a few drinks under my belt but be sure that if I call you cute you are TOTALLY getting laid ;)

DG, I do appreciate your insights into men and women, honestly I do. And I realise from your posts that you've been on a pretty big journey of discovery over the past few years, which I admire. I also agree with much of what you say - I'm a big believer in energetic/sexual polarity and the interplay of masculine and feminine energy. I feel compelled to say though, the answers are not always cookie cutter. The exchange Neptune_Drift described has the potential to be wonderfully sexually charged - if I was the woman and the exchange had the tone of cheekiness and flirting that I picked up from Neptune's post, I promise you my panties would have been getting wet. There's a craft to sexual tension and flirting that goes way beyond a set of rules about a man taking charge. I can (almost) guarantee to you - if for no other reason than because I am a woman - that the woman would not have been lost to Neptune, but rather swept up in a fun, flirty exchange and anticipating what might happen next. The trick would be, therefore, what did he do next ... :)

If a woman says you are cute. Don't assume that it is good or bad - we all know assumption is the mother of all fuck ups. Sometimes the way you act could be misconstrued as being "cute". Personally if I was called cute I would play along with that and use it to find out some more. Come straight out and say "cute in a rollover rub me on the belly puppy dog kind of way? or more of a I would not mind ravishing your body" If its the puppy dog then damn it but if it is the later the "cute" tag may disappear and you maybe considered something a bit more. Take not of the tone and the body language as well have fun Cutiepie ahahahahahahahhahabananahahahahahaha ( did any one notice banana in that?)

I always use that word to describe someone who's physically caught my eye. Younger blokes are cute, men my age can be cute, guys who are a tad older than me are still cute but any older than about 45, he's not what I'm looking for. That's me! If I call someone cute, it's a good thing. It's a sign of like to taken them somewhere quiet and rip their clothes off. I guess it's all about the context of how it's used in relation to the person using it. I'd say to a few posters in this particular forum... You're very cute. I'd do very naughty, pleasure able things to you. If I could! But I can't! So ill keep thinking about how cute you are and wish and wonder.

Quoting 'CheekyArses' What does it mean if a girl is called cute This didnt turn up sooner. I think the terms we (male/female) use for strong attractions are quite different. On with the OP, i see cute more of a positive for us, than it probably is coming from a man to a woman which is why i think hes so confused about it.Now, in risk of being judged by all from saying what im thinking... whenever I have used cute for a girl, its nearly always been when i thought 'kinda alright'. Cute probably more specifically a physical judgment than anything else. If I thought she was pushing the other buttons that werent physical, i wouldnt use cute.

I remember my becoming into adulthood and having quite intense lust for my older sister's friends with no attention returned beyond the point of "you're brother is such a cutie" which I always took (and still do) as "hot but not going to happen"At my older brother's wedding at the ripe young age of 17 I was approached by a 21 year old friend of the bride who was not shy about expressing her opinions of me... never was the word "cute" used... however "hot" and "sexy" ring bells... This led to my first sexual experience with a girl with a bit of daylight between our ages. Should she thought I was "cute" I wouldn't even remember meeting her....Should "cute" come from a women of your age or older... it means either you have some convincing to do or that you're wasting your time!

A grown man CAN be cute. But only if he's playing with a puppy. Or cuddling a baby. :pBut seriously, it definitely the context and tone, also situation. Cute can be sarcastic meaning "you MORON" or said cheekily with a smile, lip bite or shyish head turn is a VERY good way to be called cute!!It's bad if a guy is hitting on a chick and they go "awwww, youre cute". Said without tone, without smile, without looking at the guy...

Hi! Thanks for your topic.. I may think a Guy's cute = Handsome sexy in every way, but more subtle with his Sexuality ,not high on Testosterone.. A Guy I'd definitely consider as a friend and possibly a Lover , but it depends on how Young He is . I don't go below 23yrs as a rule..but I don't refer to him as Cute, Cutie so on .. I've been called Cute, Cutie by younger Guys which made me giggle like a School Girl. I thought how sweet of them to say .I was flattered by their sentiments They made it quite clear they wanted to be My Lover :) So no Insults there at all he!he!..Cheers LU:)

there seems to be a lack of understanding here..... women say things that men dont always appreciate. 'cute' is one of these things...its ambiguous, its dismissive...its like us calling women 'nice'...it says we are mildly attractive, but does nothing to reinforce our desire to be admired.... it does nothing to enhance our manliness, as we hear 'like a little bunny', or 'like a puppy' when you call us cute.....but its in our nannas voice.... you may mean it as a compliment...but we hate, as a primal instinct, what the word 'implies'...... it does nothing for our confidence that you compare us to a soft fugly little critter, or to a dribbling tot.....nothing at all....lol. i'd rather be called an ugly bugger than cute.

Quoting 'Mischeviouslad'However...Given his mentioning of it being 'reinforced'... and that it happens repeatedly, I suggest what happened next.... was more of the same and not for the desired result. It doesnt have to be that way, as I said... and even your reference to arousal from a particular form of behaviour from a Man towards you..... suggests that you know it too.Neptune.... feel free to PM me if you'd like some more information.DG Ta, DG, I appreciate the offer, but I was in fact being playful. As soon as a girl tells me I'm cute it's all but inevitable we'll be naked in a short while.I'm familiar with the whole 'pick-up artist', Game theory of attraction, evolutionary blah blah. It has its positives and works in some instances, but I'm not really a dyed-in-the-wool subscriber. Too many years studying critical theory have made me more of a nurture over nature type! But you're right of course - playful confidence wins hands down in most scenarios. I just don't necessarily think it's our lizard brain etc. etc.

The trick would be, therefore, what did he do next ... :) A detailed answer miss brave... thank you... Absolutely, there is a skill/craft and knowledge in effective communication. Professional speechwriters have been making $$$ for years, because they know how to cut right through to speak to our subconscious. Sure, a cookie cutter approach doesnt "always" work... but you'd be surprised how alike we are even through all our differences, right around the world.... this is because our subconscious was created a very long time ago, in a primitive part of our brain.... and it causes us to respond in ways we cant control. However...Given his mentioning of it being 'reinforced'... and that it happens repeatedly, I suggest what happened next.... was more of the same and not for the desired result.
