Although I specifically talk about the Red Hot Pie Chat Room, my view and point is not exclusive to just there. In recent months in the Chat Room, and here in the forums, I’ve noticed an increasing ‘aggression’ between players. When once it was fun to see some banter and have a laugh, it seems that the demographic here at the Pie is no different to any other in the fact that there will always be those who take it too far. There really seems to be a lack of respect. For example the overuse of the term ‘Bitches’ when men refer to women. ‘Slut’ Not exclusive to the men, the ‘Ladies’ of the Pie are falling short of anything but and that’s a real shame. The chat room was once a place for sunny, sexy and sensual times. Now it all comes down to point scoring and out-insulting each other. I am not referring to the usual chat crap of ‘hey babe come see my cock – it’s huge!’ Not at all – I mean, that’s pretty harmless even if slightly more than annoying and definitely repetitive! I refer to the personal attacks. The nasty innuendo and the blatant sexism that is creeping into the essence of the place. A specific example; In the chat room this evening a male contributor mentioned that all the women come on the cams and get told how hot they are but if they walked into a gym, no guy would look twice at them. To which it was pointed out that it was a matter of context – surely? Not content with an adult conversation, the male contributor then degenerated into calling the woman a ‘fat skank’ Why? This is not an isolated incident and certainly not the worst. Perhaps I am alone in finding this trending behaviour completely offensive and quite frankly – very school yard and immature. Hey Hanna, I can't comment on the chat room but I don't think this it is happening on the forums. I know in the past there have been a few memorable topics or forum posters that obviously viewed woman as sluts (and not it a good way) and said so. But nothing really comes to mind at the moment. There will always be dickheads that, quite frankly, just do not respect women at all unless they are a good virgin girl waiting to be married. It is a very old fashioned, very narrow minded attitude. Thumbs down from me.

I don't go on to chat an as a guy this behavior is a massive thumbs down for me. My 2c is a lot of it is driven when guys don't get the attention of the ladies and can't handle rejection and instead resort to violence and abusive name calling. It's like the child who throws a Tanty cause they don't get something. Could also be guys not taught how to show respect from someone from a young age....- Posted from rhpmobile

You've restored some of my faith so far, Meeka, Punks and Araps, thank you.I was beginning to think that this was just becoming 'acceptable' behaviour as a whole. I didn't want to just point the finger at the chat room for the main reason that I feel this has become a societal issue.There seems to be a general lack of respect; for the most part for ourselves, which then filters down to that which we afford others I suppose.I also have not raised the topic in the hope that there will be some massive shift in attitude; more to highlight a growing trend and to perhaps make one or two people think next before they open their mouths to say something ultimately either; Not true, Derogatory or uncalled for.Intelligence is a fading skill....... sigh Han xx

But what really gets me is the members that are pleasant on the forums, but say nasty stuff behind your back. It's happened to me a few times and I found it rather hurtful. Or the person that told"Girl": I have to tell you, "Boy" thought you were so easy when you met and that you were all over him. Then said to "Boy": "Girl" said you were all over her and she she was so annoyed and felt unsafe. Way to get a fight started. Unfortunately for the instigator, both "Girl" and 'Boy" happened to speak with me, and the truth came out quite quickly. If I hadn't just posted a comment about name-calling, I may have used the word"Bitch". But I won't.

Well said Hanna! Not that I chat that much, but hApPy too Y can't everybody just treat ppl as they would like to be treated! With out a care of : SEX COLOUR RACE AGE WEIGHT ect, each & all should have respect - enjoy Cheers all : STAY HAPPY

I have had a bit of a hiatus in part for those reasons Hannah. The forums have always had their moments of venom, but I found for a while I became tired of the combination of constant whinging about not getting replies, the regular misandry, the topic hijacking and the non-stop hints and in-jokes. I still browse the forums on occasion, but the character of them had changed for me. Perhaps much of that is in my own perception, perhaps not. Forums such as this will always have those wanting to have a light whinge and those who are genuinely feeling pain and need to express it. The former it is just a case of "next", the latter often tugs at the strings. The misandry speaks for itself I guess, I don't think many regulars here could say there aren't periods where it becomes a little cloying. Topic hijacking and little asides about who slept with who are not a problem, although why some feel the need to do it in every single forum in which they post is beyond me. You can usually tell who are the old friends where it is a bit of banter and those who merely feel the need to proclaim they are still sexually active. The thing that got me in the chat rooms, before I got the iPad and couldn't visit them anymore, and the thing that caused the break from contributing on the forums was the level of venom and I'll-feeling that often comes out recently. It's like watching a couple at a party having a domestic sometimes. Or as I mentioned, it could just be my perspective has altered a bit.
