Do women actually go to adult theatres in Sydney?

  Think because of the "dirty old men" that are always there, is the main reason. It's something my wife would like if they weren't there but alas its not the case.

  In 2013 we went to an adult cinema in Melbourne, after asking advice in the chat rooms. We were told they were great fun and that there would be many couples there. We dressed up nicely as our visit to the cinema was to take place after a nice dinner at a nearby restaurant. We entered the dimly lit cinema, our shoes making "click click" noises due to the sticky floors, and found a seat. As our eyes grew accustomed to the dark, we noticed, with horror, that we were the only couple in the cinema, that the rest of the viewers were all men, most of whom were quite old and very dirty : long trench coats, scruffy long beards, plastic bags wrapped around their shoes - they appeared to be homeless hobos, but one never knows .... Most were wanking frantically, and we could see flashes of rather large penises. It was not long before they saw us and with that they got up and moved closer, slowly , one row at a time, coming closer & closer until they were one seat away from us. Looked a bit like a scene out of the Pied Piper of Hamlyn .... there must have been at least 40 of them, if not more. We started looking for an escape route, but knew that if we squeezed past them, in our row, we would get groped and or squirted on and so we had to jump up and run along the back of the seats, jumping from one row to another ... So to answer your question , NO and the reason being is due to the strange males that go there specifically to watch other couples/women. We would not go back to an adult cinema if we were paid. It is just far too risky, there is no control, no security and to be very honest, anything can go wrong. It is certainly not fun, having a group of men watching one. They looked like the proverbial flasher in the park - long trench coat etc .......

  When do dirty young men become dirty old men?!!! Perhaps the dirty men thing is not restricted by their age, but by yours

  If theres a lot of interest from couples, surely they would set aside time for the cinema to be for couples only?

  Women going there, is when they were "escorted", that is, they came with a male partner/friend etc for either dogging or a pre-arranged "event". And from what I've heard, different cinemas in different areas attract slightly different crowds, so it would be wrong to generalise. I went to one such "event" and there were few others apart from the invitees, even on a Sat night.
