  We have become driven by wanting more .More gadgets, more money, more of everything. We are influenced by our peers, by glossy adverts, by consumerism and we are spoilt for choice, so much so that many have forgotten the joys of the simple things in life . We take so much for granted.

  We get hammered from all directions. You think mr and Mrs. Caveman sat there smelling the roses and sun bathing most of the time? I think most people 'battle' to find the balance mr Chevy. We work hard so that we can stay alive and smell the roses.

  As much as Ive enjoyed the excitement of meeting people on RHP ( sexually) its only part of my happiness. I love nothing better than having lunch with my son when we can chat properly, meeting up with my friends, and watching the sunset with my guy. I love having a garden, with a lemon tree, mango tree and the resident little honey eaters and wagtails who are used to us now. I like having a laugh with my workmates to lift the fact that we are having a particularly busy day. I love waking up with my guys arms around me. I appreciate my sight when I see the colours of the flowers in my neighbours gardens, or the glorious view from Kings Park. I love the fact that I am alive and healthy with people I love around me.

  Quoting 'Summersolstice' The connection between your topic title and your post? Sounds to me like you're talking about viewing life in a materialistic versus non-materialistic/spiritual way. Where does the sexual aspect come in to it? The connection you get between the people involved and no way I love to get up and greet the day and the only time I don't enjoy getting up is when I am sick or had a party night the day before.

  Life is complicated and messy at times Chev. Not having money to live with can make it all the more so. I think it's something individual that is not easy to understand if you're not living other people's lives, experiencing the same problems they are. I agree with your OP essentially and do feel ashamed at times that I don't have more appreciation for waking up every day. I do say thanks to the powers that be as often as I remember though. I do have a lot I am grateful for that I like to be mindful about. Peachy, values a small life that happens to have a strong sexual leaning.

  I stop to smell the roses... ... and end up appreciating the little bugs on it. Be present... be self aware... be engaged. Put down the phone, and look towards the horizon

  I don't chase the $$$ or material possessions ...never have...I cherish what good friends give me.....can't beat a good fire, some music or a simple swim at the river.....yes life is pretty laid back where I am even with having kids in school still...😊😊 - Posted from rhpmobile
