Dogs licking faces

October 30 2008

sex

The subject came up at the dinner table one night about 'do you let dogs lick your face?' This post is NOT about animal sex....just the face. The discussion came up after I saw some of them allow their dogs to give em a kiss/show doggie affection to the humans. We have a dog and I never allow my dog to lick my face at any time reason is I see what he gets up to and I dont want the dogs tongue on my face where his tongue has been. I never saw any of them kiss or lick the dog back of course but what if somehow the dog slipped the tongue in...yukk I say. They recon its ok...I dont...what to you all think? Mars

growing up on a farm, I've seen dogs eat some horrible things, HORRIBLE... but don't let me hear you say that city dogs are any different... anyone ever watch Wilfred when it was on sbs, remember when he was bragging about eating a dead possums guts, through its arsehole... lol... great moment in TV... ok so im getting off the topic but that kind of stuff happens, dogs will hapily eat human shit and a million other gross things (the worst thing ive seen is a guy letting his dog clean out his toe jam... oh that is wrong) i wont let a dog lick me on the face, mainly because they have bad breath... lol... (and i fear parasites) but when you think about it it's not much different to the dog licking you on the hand. These people that do let their dog lick them on the face are obviously not getting sick from it and if thats how they bond with their pet and no harm is done then who cares

mmmmmm i think u gottta get over that and someone has to hold you down and allow the dog to lick you ... promise u wont get herpes or rabies.... and there is also a way of just enjoying the fact that if we kiss and smooch exchange saliva/bodily fluids that dogs will be doing the same... we lick balls anus holes and then kiss whoever ur lips nearest, why cant dogs woof woof

Also, sez Slapper, why deny one of the most loyal, trustworthy, protective and loving animals on this planet the chance to show you affection? Human beings are a lot more reluctant to show any kind of affection in many cases..... OK, so I'm biased too.......I'm occasionally a volunteer at the RSPCA...... M_S
