I have made some very unwise decisions and choices in the past when it comes to the unscratchable itch. I have a lot more control over it these days. I recently listened to a podcast talking about sex addiction and whether or not it actually exists. The end result from a panel of people of varying levels was that it didn't but I beg to differ. I had quite the problem until about a year ago, seeking out anything and taking everything that came my way - no matter how seedy. Quite a few shameful memories. I find it easier to just not think about sex these days, although you do build quite a degree of (ahem) back-pressure after a couple of weeks, but I just have a wee tickle of Mr Winky. Aside from that, actual sexual contact- when I get it I get it, which is a couple of times a year of recent. I'm actually quite fine with that.

I don't book my own work accommodation but the department that does lets us list our preferences. Makes the game much easier when you statistical probability of crossing paths with a fellow traveler is higher. Also handy/safer if you have prearranged to meet someone online too.
