my "Bible"Romans 14:2One person's faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The problem is. it then goes on to tell me NOT to brag about my faith and my ability to eat anything..UNFORTUNATELY... it does NOT tell the weak.. those who can only eat vegetables, to not give us of strong faith a hard time about what we eat.. and WHY we eat it.. The BEST part of this....??I have been deliberately poisoned TWICE by women.. but.. Fuck me.. it must have been my strong faith and ability to eat ANYTHING that saved my caveman arse..

1 Corinthians 10:25 goes on to say.. Eat anything sold in the meat market raising questions of conscience... My point is. WHATEVER choice you make for your own lifestyle is good.. and yours.. and therefore right. Even as a child, I often felt poorly when Mother cooked vegies from the shops..OF course.. now we know what chemicals were sprayed on the vegies even back then.. nothing has changed... I LOVE Vegies.. and eat a shit load of them but still aware of the chemicals applied, and can TASTE Them still .... I grow an awesome amount of and variations of them in my own gardens.. which is fckn awesome .. and healthy.. :)BUT.. I "Crave" meat.. often.. and eggs...lots of them.. I can kill a beast and eat it raw too if I had to.. in fact, I probably eat more steak raw still today them cooked..I "Crave" coffee too.. but, that is another story ;)

My daughter is vegetarian, I thought it might be a populist peer group thing but she is about 18 months in so the commitment is impressive. The only thing we have to watch health wise is her iron levels, I was kinda hoping it might even out her moods, nope, still a typical teenager ! We are fortunate in Freo to have a couple of really good vegan restaurants, I like it now and again, especially the desert/patisserie aspect, its great to eat something so delicious that is not reliant on fat/sugar for flavour stimulation. I would never go down the vegan path but it's contribution to our culinary choices is invaluable, some really clever and creative cooking going on there.

I am in no way preaching to anyone about their diet. I was just wondering if anyone here had completely cut meat from their diet and had noticed any difference to their health/lifestyle? But I get what you are saying about pesticides....Ive seen videos of crop spraying in the USA and the guys are in biohazard suits and masks......what does that tell you. Thats in America, however. When I was young, I remember the farmer coming round with the horse and cart and the cart was loaded up with mucky vegetables picked from the fields that morning. They tasted far better than the stuff you buy now from the supermarkets. If I had the finances to have my own house ( dreams ) Id have a veggie garden. I dont get house envy, I get veggie patch envy!

Many fruit and veggies have lost a lot of their nutritional value from their more wild original varieties, being breed now for other qualities such as size, shape, surface colour, yield etc. As for noticeable health changes, when I made a pointed choice to increase these in my diet, the immediate change was bowel related side effects due to changes in digestive bacteria. - Posted from rhpmobile

A study found that 86% of vegetarians and 70% vegans eventually go back to eating meat...... Just imagine...... all those wasted years without juicy juicy meats.

Both in the past and recently when my daughter went through a vegan phase. It was just easier to eat the same meals so I cut out meat. I felt great and had loads of energy. I tend to put a bit more effort into prepping my meals when I am vegetarian so they are more complete so maybe thats why. I was also eating little processed anything at the same time and hardly any sugar so that was probably part of it. The only downside was I think i can get a bit thin and not eat enough fats so my skin and hair looked dry. But I just upped my oil and avocado and it got better again. For fitness though being lighter also helped with running and weight bearing exercise. I started eating meat again a few weeks ago because my daughters vegan stage is over now. I think I feel better without it to be honest.

Go the raw kitchen in freo sailbadthesinner. ☺ Study have shown that Pentecostal vegans and places around the world where certain casts are vegan live longer, well my vegan sister says so. I find eating meat 3 times a week, limits bow actions to 2ce a week. Also makes me more placid, tho exercise on non meat days is tiring from the start and doesnt do anything for my body - Posted from rhpmobile

with a vegan... in saying that.. she was NOT when we started.. but she soon turned... Strange lady.. kept chooks which gave her beautiful fresh eggs.... but she would NOT eat them.. ANYWAY... one morning after.. I KNEW I should have kept my mouth shut...But I am NOT known for keeping my mouth shut... A great sex session... long winded and awesome.. my first cum was "Full" oral from her... So.. we are eating breakfast... I grabbed some of her chook eggs, and cooked them for myself..I asked her about WHY the F*** she wouldn't eat eggs.. when they are natural from a chook.. and the chook is going to lay them anyway..She got into a pretty Deep and meaningful about not eating ANYTHING from an animal...I asked/stated ---- "But you swallowed last night...??!!" I never got my dick in her mouth again... EVER!!!!The look on her face was worth it though!! SO... Question to Vegans here..."Do YOU swallow??"

Thanks...I know vegans who seem really healthy and active...one guy eats a raw food diet and is an instructor at his Martial Arts Gym. He is always full of energy. I love researching nutritional facts and a plant based diet seems to be naturally good for the body. Maybe one day Ill try the vegan diet.

I wasn't Vegan though. My daughter was but no way I'm giving up milk in my coffee. I don't like cooking that much too be bothered. It was a hassle to think of meals for her. So glad she gave it up. We are back to eating meat but don't eat as much as before.

There is simply no way I could live without meat but as a shift worker who cannot always eat normal food at normal times I subsist a lot on fruit and raw veg when at work. Peckish? Have an apple. Peckish again? Have a carrot, and so on. Pretty much no meat for half the week. I must say, the benefits of minimal/no meat during that time seem impressive. I lose weight pretty readily and when back at work it just comes off - belt gets looser by the day. My bowel motions are pretty wacky - I pretty much don't have one for the time I'm at work and when I do, they are - without going into too much detail - quite neat and tidy little packages, the right colour and floaty. I have a few vegan friends and I always rib them about how their farts are lame affairs. Little gas pockets that smell like a dusty coat. Mine are the same when I'm on my fruit and veg binge, so I suppose that is a good thing. When I'm on days off though, I hoover anything that once had blood coursing through its' veins. Bulk quantities, man - Noah, please bring that ark over here closer to me. The only surviving animals you say? Too bad, I've just fired up the Barbie.

I am on the same diet op, I do enjoy seafood plus eggs and dairy. Gluten free as well by necessity not choice. When I stopped eating meat 7 years ago it took a month for my body to adjust but once I balanced my diet I've felt much better than before, meat made me feel sluggish but now more energy. I still cook meat for the family but it doesn't interest me to Join in. When I was a kid we killed our own animals, let the carcass hang for a while then butchered and froze it. Modern factory farming is a totally different story, but we can all make our choice. Mr D - Posted from rhpmobile

Watch a Netflix production called "what the Heath" it avocates for an entirely plant based diet - each to his own but was a really interesting film on the global food industry links to disease and how we get manipulated by the media - Posted from rhpmobile

I've actually been thinking about this for a while. After watching Dairy is Scary a few years ago and watching it again recently, I want to slowly ween myself off dairy, sugar/processed foods and meat. I want to find alternatives, but I'm not going to go against a craving of a steak. Dairy is scary actually went through how milk is not so great for your bones and can actually cause fractures. I've have some bad referred muscle pain and some X-Rays reveal 2 fractures in my spine. So I'm not going to drink regular milk as much anymore, must find calcium in other foods. Also watched the sugar film. I already try not to eat rice, bread, pasta and noodles. Only because I have diabetes on both sides... it feels like a game of PAC man or something trying to cheat death from all different directions lol But I am curious at how Vegans can still look so fit and not lanky like I thought all Vegos would be if they didn't get the protein. I guess protein powder, chick peas and spinach. My friend has gone vegan and she is also an advocate.
