Well i think Aussieboy has it right..having said that, I must be getting old, as last time we went there it was playing techno music and didn't seem to have the beach feel of old..maybe we got there too late though (ie after dark).   like to also nominate almost any bar in fremantle for a sunday session, followed by a drink/taps at the cinibar (wine bar on essex street)...   Trev

Other days of the week I've checked it out the crowd seems a little on the younger side but for a Sunday Session in the Rockingham area the Swinging Pig beer garden is hard to beat. The mixed age groups and laid back atmosphere great for downing some coldies while meeting friends old and new. We like it so much we've make it a regular stopover. The morning at the beach and late afternoon at the Pig, makes for a nice Sunday. Always a nice thought too that we can never be quite sure who may join our table ;)    Mind you living in walking distance of it just may make us a little biased lol.   Woody

My personal favourite is the Elephant and Wheelbarrow in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. Night or day this little English pub is my favourite place for a number of reasons: 1. Great music (live or otherwise); 2. There's always sports on (plus GIANT projected sports in the beer garden at night); 3. Always a good crowd - I have never been witness to a glassing, brawl or so much as a disagreement at that place; 4. I always have a story to tell on my return from the ladies room. The women are so friendly and willing to help each other in there - I always make a new best friend for three minutes because someone has told me my bra straps are showing; and 5. Every single time I've been there I have had the opportunity to score. Just the perfect place to sink a few beers with some mates. Love it.

i think we should have more beer related topics to discuss.   don't mean to hijack ur thread, but what is everybody's summer beer? im usually a Coopers Pale Ale kinda guy....but not exclusively, i like to mix it up every now and then and am looking for a good summer beer....what's ur fave?   ok......bringing us back on topic. Im from Sydney so my fave watering hole is probably totally irelevant from this mostly WA thread.......so im just gonna say "whatever ur local is". Im a simple man with simple pleasures. I like to live life like an episode of Cheers.   Cheers.

In perth, we love our pubs named after other parts of the country. But definately my favorite place for a drink is the Brisbane on a Sunday afternoon. And I can probably be found at Lux Bar after The Brissy closes :)   Second to that, the Queens, again followed by Lux :)   Merry Xmas Everyone :)

We dont generally do the sunday arvo drinking thing. We prefer to get all dolled up for a Saturday night instead. Rocket Room is our local, and the owners look after us. They just happen to run the Voodoo Lounge strip joint upstairs, so you'll find us stumbling up or down the stairs there too ;)
