Why so judgemental? She may have had a busy week at work, the kids been sick all night and the neighbours dog got through the fence and ripped her clothes off the line. Is having an imperfect loo and bathroom really a deal breaker? Bit shallow me thinks. Thank christ you will NEVER set foot in my house.

I had a similar experience only last weekend. As soon as I stepped into his apartment, I was overpowered by the stench of cooking fat. (I glanced around and saw the deep fryer on the kitchen bench). The whole place was dusty and dirty, even the sheets smelt like they needed a good wash. I stayed for a little while, but found I could not relax and enjoy myself, so after a little fooling around I excused myself and got outta there!! Now I don't expect anyone's house to be pristine, but this place was beyond bearable....

Now..... Moving on from that.... Went to visit a client in her home several weeks ago to refinance her home. The acrid and overwhelming stench of wet dog immediately assaulted my sinuses, giving me a headache that stabbed my eyes from behind. I kept my breathing shallow and tried to ignore the dog hair matted to the furniture. She was not blonde or attractive lol DG - Posted from rhpmobile

Some tolerance is only fair, but there are degrees of filth and we have all have limits I'm sure. Superficial mess that looks recent rather than entrenched, is OK. Same with dishes in the sink, dust on the surfaces, a floor waiting to be vacuumed, beds unmade. My crazy life means my house is like this more than it should be, and I'm a neat freak! Not ideal, but not a deal-breaker. Genuine, long-term grubbiness or any kind of grossness that reeks of laziness, poor hygiene or general hopelessness and I'm out of there lickety split.

Its not so much all about the fact that the shower and toilet were filthy but more the impression of the person . I guess you would be wondering if they went to no effort there then what else did they forget to clean lol!! I am not a neat freak......well maybe just a bit!!.......but if there is even a remote chance of company I will be clean as will be my house

What's the difference between what Chev is saying, and seeing a photo on someone's profile on the backdrop of a messy room??? I've seen comments made that deems a messy bedroom as a turn off, why is this any different?- Posted from rhpmobile

I completely agree. Having said that, there's a difference between a house that hasn't been cleaned for a week and a house that always looks like that. Messy is acceptable, filthy is not. If I have to worry about contracting toxoplasmosis or a fungal infection, I'm not likely to go back.

I own my home and I keep it clean in fact its a challenge because of my 2 cats damn fur. With all the dust from other homes being built around me plus the cats my home is still clean as I vacuum every day. Some months back I even evicted tenants in one property because they did not clean. Mould in the showers Dirt on the walls Pet hair everywhere broken fly screens Maybe I have become fussy but if a home is not clean then the chances are a person is not clean.

Never relax or it will overwhelm ones disorderly disorder. Maybe the lady was low on tank water, waiting for rain and kindly allowed you to waste some of the precious stuff, maybe you were not thinking about that while you were thinking that.Again you were not thinking about her, but you get so lucky with all the young girls, can't say you have a strange way for thinking, you're the man of men. It seems your life is chaos without one. He heMado

Mould, is a spore that is common to cheaply built rental homes without adequate ventilation, all but imposable to eliminate, it is a filthy design due to short cuts.Same with cheap fly screens, they tear easily, especially where cats see the wildlife vulnerable, as all the dust you build a rental house, was once the home.Stained toilet bowls, are the first sign for leaking systens, maintenance usually remedies those types of problems. You only own the top few inches of land you are claiming, how do you stop the worm from knowing the difference. Oh come on now Mr chevtrek, it is all about the money you wish to own, to go sky diving with all those young men and women.Mado

No way unless we share a home I keep mine clean and I have bloody furry cats. I have standards and I think its because my mother was lazy and as children we cleaned our rooms/clothes and fed ourselves for breaky and lunch. She did cook dinner. But serious I think people should have self respect in there home and not just appearance .

@Mesmerised I went from firefox to chrome which i came to like a lot. But after latest update i'm leaning back to firefox. I'd avoid IE if ya can... On this subject i really oughta get down and do some tidying up as i'm supposed to have a lovely married girl whom i went to primary school with coming to drink with me tomorrow. @chev I have two purebred Ragdolls and a house that's 90% carpet. I don't have a fancy vacuum with a powerhead so it's a shitload of effort getting the white furr off the carpet but this is the first time i've ever mentioned it because it's my choice to have two fluffy white cat's and they lose furr. If they are a chore and not members of your den for pussy not long from the womb then dont make a big deal out of it. Find them another home.- Posted from rhpmobile

I think that may have been a bit harsh, i may be emphatically picking up on the feelings of other forum members and viewing your posts with similar disdain. Saying that i too have noticed contradictions in your posts and every one seems to contain poorly hidden subliminal self promotion or general braggart like qualities. However you have never personally said anything untoward about me and so at this point are undeserving of me slandering you. I would actually be interested in meeting you sometime over a drink and seeing if the feel of experience and wisdom i get from you, underlying in your posts is actually real and you are worthwhile knowing as a person. I have good friends alot older than you so age is not a concern and since your roughly 8 km's away, a stone's throw with the right wind ( Bragging :-P). The ball is as they say in your court. To everyone else, i've gotten excited recently on here with all the well educated people and have been joyfully exercising my command of the english vocabulary. In real life if i spoke like this to people it would mostly be "huh, you did what now?". It is sounding a bit dry and long winded to me but so please let me know if i should dial it back.. DG? I stayed at a mans house (just the once) a few years ago...And I am sure he did not change his bedding??He carried me to his room and put me on his made bed. When I went to make myself comfortable I looked over. There was make-up smeared across the white pillow cases and when we got into the bed, it smelt foul!!I reckon he had a squirter in there just prior to me...Being a squirter I know that smell!!!I actually dry reached, it was that bad..The rest of the place was neat and tidy!!!It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had.Never went back again - turned me off for life!!Clean, crisp bedding is now a must after this experience.FOXY
