Dress well. You don’t need a ball gown. But do better than a Sunday bbq. You can go as sexy as you like. Mingle. It’s hard, but just try. Most people are friendly and open to chat. Introduce yourselves as newbies if you have to. Don’t expect anything other than to have a positive attitude. Don’t drink too much. Be chill. Socialise. No need to rush into anything. It’s ok to be nervous. It’s ok to say no. It’s ok just to go and get a feel of how it all works. Just have a good time and don’t stress.

Opalrose hit the nail on the head! Go on in with an open mind, no expectations, relax and enjoy the company of others in the same lifestyle!

It’s definitely baby steps or it was for us . Go at whatever pace suits you . If you last an hour that’s okay too . It’s such an exciting time for you both . As was said , have no expectations. Go with how you both feel . It’s okay just to socialise , observe or play alone . I think it’s important to check in with each during the evening how each other is feeling . Your number one priority needs to be each other . I feel being nervous is normal . Dress in something you are comfortable and confident in . Before we went to our first event we spoke to the organisers about what to wear , what to expect etc . It definitely helped with the nerves . As was mentioned it’s okay to say no thank you . To be amongst likeminded sexy people is so liberating . We did find all events to be different. Even revisiting the same event it’s different each time . It changes with the crowd present that night . There will be regulars and people that have been in the lifestyle a long time . Try not to be intimidated. Everyone is new at some time . Good luck and enjoy xxx P.S the next day and days to come please talk , talk and talk some more to each other about how you found it , perhaps expectations for the future , if there was any jealousies or feelings of being uncomfortable. All feelings are valid and best aired . Ax

Opalrose nailed it. If your curious, just attend and have a great time being social. I believe you will find most are quite willing to share their views and take on it all. Just say “Hi, were here out of curiosity and we’ve come to check it out.” 😉

You have received some pretty sound advice here. My two bits would be to attend a newbie night at a swingers club. It will give you a good appreciation of the range of people that attend these events. Newbies > Experinced. Newbie events are pretty cool as you can dress smartly and as sexy as you dare. Make sure you are both on the same page as to your agreed boundaries and check in with each other regularly. The most important thing is to be positive and social. Ask lots of questions and don't feel pressured to do anything you are not comfortable with. Just enjoy yourself and have fun.
