  First off, you definitely get sorts on here...but it seems a chicken before the egg argument, as in, snobby before they were here, or as a result of? There seems a fine line between snobby and selective though. We don't seek out contact with those outside our personal preference ( our only requests are being DTE and 45 and under ), but get frustrated, and probably come across as snobby when we don't reply to 65 year old couples and streams of single guys. We're quickly realising ourselves that you have to cut through the layers to find the right people, if you have the patience to do so. But it defiantly seems worth it when you do. I also wonder if there's a link between their level of snobbiness (is that a word?) and their success rate here. Mr G

  Women complain about the volume of messages they get, yet many are more flexible about their criteria than their profiles would suggest, which leads men to try it on even when they don't meet criteria which leads to women getting too many messages which leads to them becoming up themselves because of excess attention?? Am I right or am I left? So women are up themselves and it's their own fault because they are not rigid enough with what they're looking for. Meh, people are what they are. You, my friend, need an editor.

  Not quite following you there..A profile is merely a collection of words, giving the very basic information about that one person. I personally don't find them particularly helpful, as so many of them are so very similar. Certainly there are stand out profiles, but by and large, much of a muchness, and I generally take them at face value. Like receiving cunnilingus? Great! I like to give it.....but I'm not going to send a message on the strength of that.If you're going to play "Spot the hidden agenda", I feel you'd be wasting an awful lot of your time. Then again, you and I may well be looking for different experiences.For mine, the forums give you much more of an insight into people, although a much smaller range, as not every member here is an active contributor. I tend to look for how well I'd get along with a person outside of the bedroom before venturing inside - that mental connection is pretty much my only deal-breaker. I think that many of the complaints about messages are legitimate - more than a few of us men seem to play the numbers game and flood the market so to speak. That makes it difficult for the more genuine - for want of a better word - men to stand out, but it's a fact of RHP life. Were the shoe to be on the other foot, despite the prevailing "men think with their dicks" attitude, I suspect there would be just as many complaints coming from the other direction.As far as egos, etc. are concerned, I'll cop to feeling just a little bit chuffed on the odd occasion I receive a message or flirt out of the blue.
