  Yes it's possible... I mean look at all the movies they make about it. :P Another interesting question. Can a man be friends with a woman with out him thinking about having sex with her?

  I had a close male friend ,we were work colleagues for three years and then one night it changed.We had a passionate fling for a few weeks and then we went back to being friends.It actually made us closer than ever ,we continued working together for years,at one stage I was his boss for about a year. He married had children,I had a child and went overseas but we still kept in touch.He died about ten years ago. I am glad that I had him in my life, and I still miss him.x R

  Yes. It can happen. After my long term relationship I ended up having a rebound fling with one of my male friends - guess he was just in the right place at the right time! lol. We're now just friends again :)

  I'd shag nearly all of my women friends if the right set of circumstances came around. But some of those circumstances are about as likely as Tony Abbot giving up God.If you are able to just be friends with your friends, without feeling the need to manipulate or want something from them, anything is possible. I have one or two friends that I'm really attracted to actually. But do I crave sex or a relationship with them? Nahhh. Do I like hanging out with them just because? You bet..If the occasion and feeling was right for both of us would I? Probably..~smiles~

  Some of my very very best male friends are the ones that I have had a "thing" with. Gets the question of sex out of the way. You dont need to think about it because you have already been ther and tapped that!

  ...that there are " just friends", from the opposite sex...and then, there are "friends with sexual tension"....i have lots of male friends...always had...i am not your typical girlie girl...never had dolls, girlfriends...i don't like to shop, or gossip...and i am blunt, like a rusty axe....almost to a fault...i call a spade a spade....and i have an aggressive streak about me..sometimes...those personality trades have always gone down better, with males, as mates...but i have had "friends" in the past...who were merely ONLY friends, because of the circumstances...(i.e. he had a girlfriend, i had a boyfriend, the timing was wrong, emotionally...whatever)and if those circumstances had been right...hell, i would have been all over them, like fly on ....(you know...)

  Problem is that when 1 friend has more feelings,they tend to hold back as to not loose the friendship. So they loose the opportunity to be with someone they admire., are best of mates with and could be possible lovers and more. I say go for it, a good friend will just shrug it off over a drink and be flattered :)
