One night I had a very powerful dream,it featured our mutual teacher, a well respected Tibetan Lama....the next morning I told her about my dream, she went quite pale and said "That was my dream "...xQ

In early teenage years, I often had the same dream where I was hiding under my bed and dales (from Dr Who) were circulating through my house chanting "exterminate! Exterminate!" In that mechanical voice as they had killed all my family and we're now looking for me. I still can't watch Dr Who to this day.

Should be "daleks" not "dales"

But weirdest/spookiest was a series of reoccurring Zombie dreams which picked up where the last one ended, like a Romero film, until only I was left. I've met a few others over the years who have had the same thing. Is a thing apparently...

I had a dream where a one armed man called Mike said fire would walk with me and introduced me to Bob who lived above the convenience store. Then I was sitting in a room, with heavy red curtains. A beautiful woman sat in the corner as a dwarf in a red velvet suit walked in. The dwarf introduced the woman as his cousin who was filled with secrets. I told the woman that I recognised her but she replied that she knew the person but sometimes her arms bent backwards. The dwarf then interjected, noting where they were from the birds sing a pretty song and there is always music in the air. As the dwarf began to dance around the room, the beautiful woman stood up and came over to me. She leant down and kissed me before whispering the name of her killer in my ear. Then I woke up. And the sad part is all the kids born after 1990 will have no idea what I am talking about.

I'm guessing you had your dream when you were a kid, OP, and not as an adult running around a primary school playground avoiding chores..? I had a very similar one when I was about six or seven. I was standing on the top of a brick fence in someone's backyard with my dad and my two brothers, and we needed to get to the other side of the garden, but there was an angry leprechaun leaping about, snarling and shouting at us and clearly eager to do us no good. Dad found a big plank which he used to span across to the brick fence on the other side, and one by one we shuffled across, me bringing up the rear. The leprechaun was leaping up under us, trying to grab our feet and getting very close, and we were struggling to stay upright on the narrow plank. Every one else got over, and I was about halfway across, when the leprechaun ran off and came back with a ladder. He slapped the ladder up against the plank and ran up. I freaked, convinced he was going to rip me apart, but when he got up he grabbed my pants and pulled them down. I woke up screaming.

Im usually too tired to have dreams. I have plenty of daydreams though and a few financial nightmares this time of the year, but I balance that out with quite a few pipe dreams. (especially on the weekends) :D ☮

Quoting 'Tonyerotic' By the excellent producer David Lynch who also did Naked Lunch ~ Brasil ~ Wild at heart... David Lynch is excellent, but it was David Cronenberg who made Naked Lunch and Terry Gilliam who made Brazil. All excellent films though, and full of dreamlike stuff...

Reoccurring dreams. Im standing on the top of huge mountain ( like the one in the Jeep ad ) I can see this road winding all the way down.. I start driving down and get out at the bottom, yet when I walk to the edge , Im still back at the top... ? Long time dream since I was a kid.. I can fly like superman.. I have the cloak and away I go. I fly over this high chain wire fence then when I try to fly back I cant ? Fk thats frustrating...

I had this repetitive dream a few times on different nights, it's the most horrifying dream I remember... . I'd be running around a racing track, and would come to realise that I was running without shoes and my feet would be wearing down to stubs, I would remind myself to put shoes on. I would dream it and wake up many times during what would feel like a nverending night and it would come back in flash backs throughout the day after too. Shudder...

Used to dream I was running naked but never getting anywhere. The other was on a beach in a wooden hut and watching a tidal wave coming. Freaky!

They say we problem solve in our dreams.......A lot of the characters in our dreams get replaced with fictitious storybook or movie scenarios, as they are the stories we relate to and know the outcomes.......it's interesting to try and decipher them though ?.....most are just our everyday struggles. Another interesting point is, that the dreams we remember, are just before we wake, although they seem much longer, they are only seconds, or a fraction of a second.

What surprised me was when the Troll like persuer spoke... he was well spoken and polite. I think maybe it was a sign of judging people by their look. Incidentally he cornered me in a concrete igloo. As can happen.Do you find in dreams when you notice or dwell on an object like a nifty gold plated toaster... when you go to look at it again, it has turned into a 70's lime green telephone..It is these reality checks the allow you to know you're in a dream and if careful you can control the dream and who and what is doing what to who...and HOW...without waking up immediately. That's the erotic dream...the absolute pinacle of dream~ lust. If you've had this you'll know what I mean.Form a habit of reality checking during the day. Of course no radical replacement will appear. But as a form of pattern behaviour you'll also likely perform the check in a dream. And as Mr Tamworth reminded us...a second remained longer in dream sleep. is potentially hours in the dream.

From the Dream Moods site...Jung said that dreams are a way for us to communicate and acquaint ourselves with the unconscious.......Dreams are not attempts to conceal your true feelings from the waking mind but rather they are a window to the unconscious........They serve to guide the waking self to achieve wholeness and offer a solution to a problem you are facing in your waking life.......xQ

Embarassing but I wet the bed a few years back from a dream, lol. I was dreaming my sister won lotto and she had bought a mansion and I was taking a tour of the place when I came across the bathroom. I thought I might as well go while I am here and next thing I woke to a warm sensation trickling around my butt cheek and onto my leg.....Noooooooooo!!!

I used have a reoccurring dream that i was running thru a suburban street with no idea why. That was until i looked behind me and saw all the other people running. And behind then I could see the Zenomorphs from the Alien series of movies chasing people and pouncing on them, running up and over houses. And it would always end with me looking back and then up to see one pouncing on me. I could never get back to sleep after that on the nights i had those dreams. Another dream that stands out (but was not reoccurring) was having a dream about interviewing the brainy gremlin after my Auntie got me to watch Gremlins 1&2. That was incredibly creepy.

I had one dream that freaked me out a lot ! I was 12 or 13 I think, it wasn't the content that scared me, It was the fact that I woke up in the middle of the road , after my family had woken to me yelling, and hearing me open the back door and chasing me down the road. I was chasing someone that had ripped me off in my dream....very confronting to end up in that situation, and endangering myself ......the only thing I did learn from it though, is that I probably had courage ....umnnn or stupid ?
