  I hear what your saying, i think ppl get confused with the actual meaning of the relationship......if they prefer 2be just fuk-buddies.....then they shall just fuk, Or they shud make their mind up & maybe commit 2the 1 person....?xx

  Ive always thought it was just the different names that guys and girls gave it......we would say friends with benefits and guys called it fuck buddies :)

  just because we fuck doesn,t mean i want to be you friend just because we are friends doesn’t mean I want to fuck you so I guess there is a degree of difference.

  Well to us friends with benifits means having friends that you can have over for a bbq and drinks or maybe go out for the night together , and sometimes you might jump into bed other times you might not ,meaning you dont have to have sex everytime you meet.which is what we are looking for.

  For me, friends with benefits are people I like personally and socialise with inside as well as outside the bedroom, ie. we go out for dinner, movies, holidays etc. They’re involved in multiple facets of my life. My regular friends would have met them, even family members. Sounds like a regular relationship right? It is in a way, but without the hassles, the commitment or monogamy. Fuck buddies were conveniences I caught up with on numerous occasions for sex only. Neither of our lives intersected in anyway other than those 30mins, 1 hour, or a few hours of fucking. At the most, all we’d know of each other aside from sexual preferences - were each other’s first names.

  I think that Lili may have come up with the right definition. Thank you to those of you who listed an opinion, and if you still have an opinion then please include it as well. I still think that it is a very grey area that needs to be discussed by those involved as there are no doubt variations between the two ends of the Fuck Buddies and Friends With Benefits spectrum.   I think the primary difference between the two is some form of emotional attachment. To me a friend with benefits was always someone you would be prepared to socialise with out in the real world, dinner, movies whatever. You invest a little of yourself into the relationship, and they return the favour. Whereas a fuck buddy was just a there to satisfy an urge. If you had an itch that needed scratching, you’d give them a call, wham bam thank you ma’am, problem solved. You’d both part ways till the next time you had an urge. Just my 2 cents worth. Matt
