If only I'd driven past 5 minutes earlier ;P On a serious note, I'm pretty sceptic when it comes to supernatural happenings. But I have heard there are more accidents when there's a full moon out. Something about the human body being made up of 80% water and the moon controlling the tides, hence may have some effect on our nervous system during a full moon, causing some people to make rasher decisions = more lunacy acts. Urban legend? Or maybe there is some truth in the Full Moon theory? Aristotle and William Shakespeare have mentioned it in their work. Interesting topic though :) - Posted from rhpmobile

    I'm far from an expert, but do have an understanding that the moon can have an effect on our moods... I remember reading a study that came out of a hospital, and it had collated that accidental incidents were usually higher on the night of a fool moon than any other, and that a lot of these accidents had something to do with behavioural causes... with any luck a search on google should bring it up for anyone doubting its legitimacy. the crux of it is that just as the atmospheric pressure change of the moon's phase affects the the oceans and causes the tides, the same atmospheric pressure difference is supposed to alter something within our bodies... don't hold me to this now but I think it was something to do with the free radicals... anyhoo, o.p. I still find your experience to be far from linked to any of this, and rather perhaps you'd just gone too long without 'blowing off some steam' ?! lol...

    Mr sparks the moon is in control of our oceans and tides , and since our own body is made up of 80 % liquid i well the moon definately effects our own balance !     Thanks to everyone for putting in a bit of your own opinion. Yes, there is some science to it - bit I was more into gauging people's relationship with this time of the month. I love the full moon and being outside in a "different" dark.     Nice....always good to get a bit of cool evening air on the bits. Would have been nice to share that with a special someone.....There is a bit of magic in the Aussie bush under a full moon......don't mind being in any " bush" under a nice "moon" in any country in the world come to think of it....I have spoken to a couple of police and emergency workers who say the incident rates seem to spike around the full moon.     I do notice at work peoples behaviour does seem to come in all or nothing. I seem to deal with a lot of behaviours all at once then I don't have anything for a while. Same on here, it seems everyone wants to get laid all at the same time, then nothing. There has to be some sort of influence. I have never noticed the state of the moon on these occasions but it is quite broadly used as an excuse for behaviours.
