FunkyPrrthbicple, I love bi men, adore them in fact, and I can understand your anger about something that is so important to you, but I think you have misunderstood what Jay_Me said in that gay/bi thread. His views may be old fashioned at times but he doesn't advocate hate, and he hasn't said anything along those lines about gays or bi's that I can remember. xx 😘

There was no implication within our opening post indicating an apology though it appears people consider there was. Again that word 'assume' appears..... We were not 'eating the whole cake' we were not throwing further stones. We were definitely not trying to redeem ourselves in anybody eyes. In our universe we are positive the words which were written said we were making a correction regarding the links of two threads. For those who care to just read our words as they were written, check the thread we referred to which we had incorrectly linked to the 'Dude' thread and note the words used in this post when we refer to 'opinion'. For those hung up on thinking humble equates to apologising & are now struggling to find a different filling, just continue eating or bake another pie or whatever you need to do. The 'substance' was never to be found in the 'pie' if you blindedly were pulling it apart searching for this apology which you had already been told was not there. Correction, opinion, first thread mentioned in the 'Dude' thread itself. That is the trail. Not apology, hint of apology, hope of redemption. That is a trail we have not paved & which you appear to think we had pointed you towards. - Posted from rhpmobile

I'm not armed with the background on this issue, but agree with others above that this is either the worst apology ever, or a sideswipe badly attempting to look like an olive branch. Please clarify (and be honest) so we can all get some rest. LOL. BTW, I want my Funky nickname back please! ; )

Rather than spreading this any further through the forums Funkys, I would have thought it would have been best for you to have posted any attempt at an apology on Jay_me's 'Dude' thread where the issue is already being discussed. Now it's a big drama and I'm guessing, like Chev, it's you two I'm going to be reading comments about all over the forums... sigh....

Without adding anymore fuel to the flames, we would like to explain why this new thread was started & not added to the thread where we posted the comments attacking Jay_Me 1. for quite obvious reasons, we have been blocked by Jay_Me & are unable to send him a private message 2. we posted a public attack, it is only the right thing that we post in public we were wrong in linking 2 threads which were unrelated 3. we felt by posting something like this on a very lengthy thread, Jay_Me would not see it, our post would become lost in the masses & the main point attempting to be brought to the attention of everybody would be forever overshadowed & trivialised. With complete sincerity, no hidden agenda or hidden motive, we apologise for the aggressive attack made towards Jay_Me with all referencing to any mention of labelling "Dude", the context used and for incorrectly linking his thread to the thread "Are Bi Guys Gay". Without deflecting from this apology or diluting it any way, we stand by every word, every statement & every attack which referenced the ignorant statements made by Jay_Me when he stated ALL Bi people were Gay, black & white, end of story. We will not accept this as old fashioned thinking to just be indulged & will not tolerate this ignorant, dismissive & arrogant behaviour when we see it. It is offensive, it is degrading & in this particular post our reply came down to this same level in our attack. It's there now though & we will stand by it & accept the consequences. Our argument is not that people are not entitled to an opinion. That is ridiculous. Our argument is a person's sexual identity is not open for others to form an individual opinion. To repeat what we wrote earlier, very simple example is you stand there & say you have 2 legs. No argument, no opinion & no questions can be formed or asked about that, it's fact, it's accepted, move on. somebody else will now stand there & say they are Bisexual. Again fact & what everybody needs to accept, understand & educate themselves about is the reality of the similarity we are attempting to put forward so everybody can hopefully grasp this meaning. A person's sexuality is not a lifestyle choice. A person's sexuality is not up for discussion. When somebody dismisses, questions, ridicules or ignorantly labels somebody 'confused' because of another's sexuality they should be held accountable for their statements & words & they should be told this behaviour is not acceptable or tolerated. Forum members who are posting their own views against us in response to the posts which we have made, are exercising their right to have their opinions, about what we have written, how we have portrayed ourselves & what our posts have indicated to them the type people we are. These are the true meaning of that word 'opinion'. This is the example which should be shown in future when a person's sexuality is believed to be the subject of discussion. The Funky 2 (.)(.)

It is us who have made this thread what it is lol. . You're right Funky couple you haven't apologised at all... merely corrected yourself. . There is no humble pie... not even a teeny slice or crumb. Humble implies a completely different attitude to what you have put across here. Part of the the definition tells me humble: is not arrogant, that it's reflecting, expressing, or offered in a spirit of deference, or submission Fool me for reading too much into that one word in your heading. I stick by my early assertion that your OP could very well have been posted on the other thread... . I offer my apologies Mes, I have linked threads myself in the past, I had hoped for a different outcome here though. I was wrong. :-)
