vasectomy only stops unwanted pregnancies...it doesn't stop you from catching any sexually transmitted infections.only good condom use or celibacy can do that. and sometimes even that isn't enough.

We both have been cut and the male cut twice. There is no problem with male performance afterwards. In the intersts of unwanted pregnancies when swinging, it should be considered very carefully. Interesting we have had this conversation other couples swinging. We the girl is cut he is not. Nothing seems any different since I had it done.A vasectomy makes no difference to the need for protection from everything else apart from unwanted pregnancy... there's only one form of safe sex and if you can bend over that far then colour me impressed LOLWP

Its bloody painful for a few days after.......not a lot of fun. You just need to totally rest. My Dr said the only person he has had issues with was a guy he snipped on a Friday. On Saturday the dude went to the rodeo and decided to ride the mechanical bull......WTF????? It didn't end well, as you can imagine.Anyway it all seems to work ok, I asked the Doctor if he could make my cum taste like chocolate topping, but sadly (for my wife) he couldn't.Good LuckG & C

Don't tell the guys who haven't had it done how painful it is!!! We've all suffered through it, now it's their turn! LOLSeriously though, it didn't hurt THAT much... Was like a case of achey blue balls for a few days, I think I must have had a very gentle doctor :)

haha Just kiddin but when a guy tells you it was nothing kick him in the nuts twice then ask him again. It was crap but at least afterwards it's all worth it and you look back and laugh. Afterall its the least we men can do, Childbirth OUCH. But everything goes back to normal. I would almost say probablly ejaculate more but there is the thump sound when the tadpoles hit the knot.

No freaking way was I going to have Dr's messing with me bits while I was awake... so I was totally out to it when they did me. Didn't feel a thing.... till after... then OMFG... it felt like my balls had been stomped on with boots... that was the friday... and I was due to do a major presentation on the Tuesday in Canberra... so I got round the house in trackie dacks all weekend which was "ok"... then on the monday put a pair of suit pants on as a trial and OMG it hurt soo much... but I put up with it... then on Tuesday the presentation was in Canberra, and it was freaking cold outside.... the balls n everything shrunk right up on the walk from the car to the venue while I had me suit on and it hurt like hell again... first and only presentation I did whilst sitting on a bar stool.... When other say it don't hurt much... they lie... they lie cos we all want you to get it done so you can feel the pain too :-) Wayne

I say yes so he says oh well we need to do it again then.... three times I had to suffer the anasthetic needle. That was the worst of it for me.. oh and then collapsing in the chemist from the pain when the drugs wore off (on my way to get more drugs). Bit tender and walking like an old man for a few days then fine ever since. Its weired having that my balls are full feeling even after you cum though. No change in taste, texture, quantity or colour of ejaculate. Its been a blessing not having the thought of "I'm a breeder in my head" every time I have sex. Both my boys some how got past the birth control... super freakin sperm I tell ya!!! What other options are theyr for pain control during the op stalky?? general anasthetic? Ooh seems extreme. Yeah.... the local aneasthetic needles one straight into each spud hurts like a bastard. THe trick is to do nothing for three days afterwards... just lie in bed with your knees up to reduce potential for bruising to develop further. What else? The shot of morphine did nothing to reduce the shock of the needles to the testicles! But when I had my eye lazer surgery they gave me a concoction of morphine and viagra.. no wait... not viagra.. it was Valium.. hehe... man I love that stuff. Haven't slept so well in years. I was sedated, didnt have the option either so i assumed it was common practice. I certainly didnt remember anything afterwards so that was fine.It didnt 'hurt' during the recovery either, my balls went black which is somewhat disturbing, but as long as you keep your nuts safe for a few days there was no pain.

Texture is lighter, taste is still the same(yum) and there is a lot less to swallow hehe I use protection all the time unless I am in a relationship.. There is a lot of men and women out there who prefer to take the risk.. I prefer to be safe than sorry.. Hope everyone had a great weekend.. x x

I got mine done when still in the Military. The civilian specialist would not do it unless the patient was fully under, his first was under local and all he remembers was when he was about to give the first needle and he looked up to see the poor patient's face with eyes as big as dinner plates!!! After that, he insisted all his patients go to the land of Nod. My only problem was that two days after my op there was a base parade. Naturally I was excused for the parade but still had to attend with all the others on a medical chit. Sat in chairs at the front of the parade, middle of winter at Richmond in western Sydney with a gale coming directly off the Blue Mountains and straight up my Kyber Passs. Definitely made my eyes water!!!!!! mooka

pain not at all for me best sleep i had in years 2 hours after operation jumped in truck and drove to perth but as an operation things do go wrong but make sure its what you want and talk to your doctor as its is very painfull to have reversed as for ejaculation no different and about 2 weeks after you have a wank and take sample for testing to see if any sperm and then awat you go

I had an op on a nut once (friendly trainee nurse, but unfortunate circumstances ;) ), holy hell I think they must've turned the bag inside out, shaken it all about and played handball with them... Afterwards for about 3 weeks it was like having a soccer ball down there (realistically it 'only' swelled to the size of 2 oranges, but you try walking with that stuff down there lol) bloody weird skating like that too, lol

You're such a pussy Mr Hot. :p There are plenty of doctors around that will do the job using general aneasthetic, and if you que up on a Friday, you get to spend the whole weekend lying in bed with your knees up watching all your favourite DVD's. It's not painful lying there.. but nobody should have a vasectomy and then play a game of squash... the reason is, that if you're too active, you will bruise up and then recovery takes a lot longer... if you sit quietly for the weekend... you're good to go come Monday. I highly commend vasectomy as a means of birth control... you win back so much more freedom with your regular lover when there isnt the risk of an unwanted pregnancy... dude you can safely squirt jizz in every orafice. :P Hugs Stalky

You are all a bunch of pussies. I am sure it does not hurt anywhere near as much as giving birth or having a full hysterectomy whereby the woman can not even hang out the washing or stand to do dishes for close on three months. My male friends tell me there is nothing to it. Visit to the doctors, a weekend in bed. Laughing! To answer the original question, I have not noticed any difference in sperm taste or colour with those that have had the snip. They do tell me they want sex more often but that is probably psyco-symatic. Something to do with the risk of preganacy no longer there. Yes the need for condoms is still apparent. fionabee

Went the way of local aneaesthetic, no problems at all. I was however worried about the way the nurse was eyeing me off..........lol And it was Clipsal 500 weekend and was left alone to watch it in peace. How much more could you ask for. Consistency & colour appear to be the same. . Cheers Lets

When my hubby had it done he was concerned about the reaction he would have........ Done in specialist surgery with local anaethstetic and a lovely nurse assisting the doctor! He has a thing for nurses! I'm one..... All went well...... Pain.... Well after he said to me, after the last child, "Don't ever put me thru that ever again!" I had that appointment lined up quick smart! All good fun afterwards though ensuring all those little sperm were well and truly out of the system! LOL! Find no difference in amount or taste.......
