Goals for the New Year??

December 26 2017

Was wondering what goals or challenges people have set for themselves now that Christmas is over and the New Year fast approaches??

As the festive season comes to an end and the New Year approaches, we have both made the commitment to improve our health and fitness, and be more focused on doing things that make us happy. It’s so easy to get caught up in the everyday grind of work etc.., and life is so busy but we both enjoy the gym and our training, so 2018 is going to be about us making positive choices that will benefit our health and improve our lifestyle in so many ways ... Bring it on !! - Posted from rhpmobile

...thus the "Fear of Failure" has been eradicated. Now I can focus on being successful in the pursuits of life, health and utterly hopeless deviant persuasions. Simples...next question? 🤓👍🙃 - Posted from rhpmobile

This year's goal is to get the red bike roadworthy again. The engine has been fully rebuilt , new tyres fitted and now it's the finishing touches that are needed. The twentieth anniversary of it getting parked up is falling later in the year.

I have goals any time of year , without them you stagnate ' do nothing and life passes you by. I already have 3 for 2018 . Two involve overseas travel and the other to continue to increase my client base . Oh , and one more , keep ducking the punches thrown by those who think they'd like a shot at the title.. lol... You gotta believe in yourself or nothing happens.. Jay..

Considering it's been nearly a year, one goal for 2018 is to actually have sex again. That is apparently much more difficult than one would think, and it's very likely I'll have to travel for it since this town is a desert when it comes to single 25 to 45 year old men who don't smoke and have a vocabulary that consists of more than the words 'fishing', 'beer', and 'Cowboys' (nothing wrong with any of those things as such but as foreplay they don't really work for me, just call me a picky bitch).

Congratulations, after losing 47 kg you deserve it. My daughter had surgery in Thailand to fix up a botched tummy after some horrific surgery here.. So I'm a big believer in correcting anything at all your not happy with no matter how minor. After my daughters experience , I was able to point one of our lady's here at RHP to the same surgeon who in turn gave the same glowing report. Good luck...

Catching up with those people I’ve made acquaintances of from here and other forums, for a coffee, or an overnight stopover in the tent with a few cans with said lovely people(If they’re open to it) and don’t worry I won’t invade your houses lol - Posted from rhpmobile

Such a positive thread and responses, some of which are very inspiring too. Mine... I started a little early and quit smoking a couple of weeks ago. Yeah, yeah, I know, nobody likes a quitter lol. Cut down on drinking a bit too. Started a Cert IV in WHS as well, all at the same time more or less. Goals for this year: carry on with the above, start doing some exercise and fire up the bike more often. Hope this isn’t my mid-life crisis 😂

I've extended the "spring clean" thing this year to make my bachelor pad more visitor friendly (some new furniture etc). I've even made a new furniture item for my dog :) So the same goal as all other years to lure a lovely single female back to my trap I mean pad. :P As for achievable goals: Visit NZ again (set in stone), and likely Antarctica also for the following summer. Write and record more songs (didn't manage to finalise any more this year).

    - Search for that perfect (or close to perfect) apartment as my first home! I'm so excited about setting up my bachelorette pad! It'll be small, too small 😕😔, but I'd rather have a small, fully paid up apt home so that I can live mortgage-free! 😄 - Adopt a clutter-free Zen/minimalist lifestyle... with a Boho chic element. Easier said than done... for a lifetime pack rat! 🤣 But, where there's a will, there's a way. Ommm... 🤷 - Seriously look into switching careers, like I've wanted to for donkey years! - Learn to fortify myself against energy vampires. 🙅 - Continue to live a life full of joy, gratitude, and spirituality! Meditate to Manifest! 😃 - Manage my finances much better. No more indiscriminate shopping! 😝 I'm soooo looking forward to 2018! 😄😄😄

2017 gas probably been tge hardest year of my life. So 2018 should be a doddle. Continue to build my business to I can actually live from it and not have to work part time to eat. Work towards making sure my daughters aren't completely lost to parental alienation and hopefully fend off my younger sons being affected. Find a home. Which is part of the job front. Get my confidence back to meet some great girls and continue my little journey in this lifestyle. Id eventually like a partner who swings but in the meantime some fun to be had as there is not much happening. Finally get back on my bke and my race fitness back so I can race at the highest level I can at my age. - Posted from rhpmobile

I always try and remember the first cigarette, the coughing and disgusting taste to remind myself that it doesn’t taste good rather than just the fact that it’s an addiction and “I want one” The other thing is seeing other people smoking and pushing away that “if they can why can’t I ?” Feeling. Replacing it with “because they are going to die earlier and more miserably than me” The die has been cast, we will always be ex smokers.

De-clutter, organise & simplify life. I get too sentimental over stuff. Silly stuff, really. Consolidate my 674 'to do lists' I try to make people happy and try again. It's made me unhappy & at times, bitter. I have already made progress with that goal this year. I need to finish reading books on my bookshelf before buying any more (that's going to be a hard one ☺️ Lol) Paint my toenails more often 👍 Mr Oz's goal is: more sex and even more sex.

My biggest upcoming goal for 2018 is to go back to casual employment and embrace the gig economy. I went permanent a year ago, and it's just not working for me. The inflexibility does my head in. I'll get to it after Easter. Until then I have to move house and have some holiday plans in March.... I've been solo poly for many years and really enjoy my independence. Not sure what I was thinking going fulltime sometimes. Fulltime versus casual employment is really a lot like the difference between a traditional monogamous marriage and being solo poly, and I should have known that it would never work for me! :D On the personal front, I don't have any particular massive goals. Just plod along the way I have for the past few years. Life is pretty sorted for me in that department really, and I'm grateful for that!

So for me 2018 is just reinforcing how much my kids and granddaughter mean to me, to just love our family quirks and to continue on my 'Me' journey. .just grabbing opportunities and never stop being curious and giving new things a go, especially sexually
