Going to far

April 06 2015

I took my subs plus 2 other girls to the circus and during the event get told they might not be aroundnext year.Animal rights groups are trying to stop shires from allowing the circus. Now the modern circus does not cage animals and in fact onlyhas horses and dogs.If you go to the ARG web site they also want to stop horse and dog racing plus even pony rides or horse and buggy. I feel we need to find a way to stop this stupidity of this groupas these animals are not caged plus I this is allowed they willtarget the damn zoo. I believe in animal rights and will always but this goes to far.

Thats only a small part.. Their total agenda.. is to stop ALL animal use, including the household companion. They have been asked about their stand on extinction of breed and species if they did set all animals free.. the basically said tough, they didnt give a toss.. I am for Animal Welfare, not animal rights... As long as the degree of separation is so vast between city people, who either dont have or understand animals and the country and those who do, this will continue, as in the city is where the numbers and votes are.

When I started to read your post I first thought you told your 2 subs and 2 other girls they may not be around next year.I started to wonder where the post was heading. In answer to your question I sit on the fence a bit.I am a shooter/hunter of some pest/feral animals though I see that as a form of protection for our native animals. We have taken the children to the zoo a few times and while I know for some of the animals ,zoos are they only reason some of those animals are not extinct.I also hate seeing those same animals caged.Mr Luvsilver

Undomesticated animals such as elephants, big cats etc. should not be used for purely entertainment purposes, so I am all in favour of circuses not being allowed to use them as such and being closed down if they do. So what if they're not in a cage? Do you think that's the only aspect that makes it so unacceptable? If so you really shouldn't have the gall to call other people stupid. I'm also in favour of horse and greyhound racing being shut down because the cruelty that goes on in those industries is appalling. And what is the purpose of all the cruelty and the thousands of ''waste'' horses and dogs killed every year? So Australians can feed their addiction to gambling. What a noble cause. Perfectly illustrates what a selfish, arrogant species we can be. It is only a minority of animal groups that advocate for things as extreme as not having domesticated animals as pets, PETA being the main one in that camp. Most, such as the RSPCA and Animals Australia, are advocates for animal welfare, and they have no problem with domesticated pets and some other ways that humans benefit from animals. Oh, and there are plenty of people who live in country areas, who own and work on farms, who also support those organisations.

Lucky if you could rustle up 10% for cruelty in the racing industry, the animals are raised and trained as athletes, the horses are magnificent and they run against each other to win, the gambling pays for them to be stabled and fed the most nutritious diets, they are vetted. If they become injured, they are put down and no misery. But they love to run and there is far more strong healthy housed and fed horses, than not. Fair enough put pressure on the cruelty, but if you could go take a walk thruogh the stables and go up each horse and look into their eyes and when you have met them all, then you would have problem Luck Dragon, if you could shut it down and you could go meet each horse in each stable shutting them to what, Guarantee you would be looking at an alternate, from where you are at now. I admire those racing horses and love thier spirit to run when they get the chance and there is some good breeders and trainers out there paid for and paid well. Good luck face to face with them, can't fairly ask someone to do something you are not prepared to do yourself Luck Dragon and you are to beautiful a person too cull the many over a few. Go get em for the ones you see cruel, because you can be a pain in the arse too. Mado Mado Tara xx :)

This topic could stand on its own, but you are always 'advertising'. As far as the circus goes - we agree that ALL animal shows should be banned. - Posted from rhpmobile

Is 50% of the purpose of the post is to rave about taking 4 girls to the circus the remainder being the topic itself. Personally I think circus' s could be (and some are) just as entertaining without animals. - Posted from rhpmobile

I really wish there was a practical way to police the welfare of the animals to make sure they're well treated. I don't have any issue with horse or dog racing per se - and it doesn't make sense to me that people might be against horse racing, but not against people riding horses or taking their horses for a gallop. If the welfare was properly managed then the injury rates from overuse/stress would be better managed, I'm not sure how you manage the danger from close proximity in racing - but again I think this could be managed as part of the animal welfare, and not necessarily banning racing itself. (In a similar way to not banning some high impact contact sports due to the concussion dangers, the games were forced to come up with better ways to manage/mitigate the risk to acceptable levels) (How does one classify an animal as "domestic" and allowed to be kept by people versus undomesticated - some places keep animals as pets and would consider it a domestic animal, where in others we'd think they're 'wild')

In Queensland a killing field of grey hounds was found..the industry is in turmoil ...I hope it's closed down..live bait has been used in training..it's beyond cruel....to use the loss of jobs as an excuse to want to maintain this industry is a specious argument at best.

Continuing to refer to "my subs" quite frankly makes me feel ill.To label women like that shows everyone what disrespect you have for these young women..barely a notch up from the animals you seem to be supporting.

Stick to the point and as for the girls its there choice.I agree there is a lot of cruelty with greyhounds but that can also be said of pets and there owners.Clean up the industry not close it down I have friends in both horse and dog racing , neither group is cruel.

As Freya mentioned live baits have been used in qld for dog training and that's very sad indeed. This discussion could go on forever without resolve I feel.... Some people keep exotic pets that only survive on live food, fishermen often use live bait to catch fish and the list just keep going... I see chevs point but where do we draw the line.... Recently I went to melbourne aquarium, Im a animal lover and adore penguins. The aquarium has a colony of fairy penguins and I rushed strait to them. To my amazement the sign said, short hair southern penguin. I was told the gay activists won a court battle and the name fairy had to be removed.... Tip

You put it out there, then its open to comment As Freya stated, there was absolutely no reason for you to even mention them ( your subs) in your forum (which btw is quite a valid topic for once) Can you not refer to your "Subs" as your friends, ladies, buddies etc. In this particular forum there was no need to mention them at all And the issue is not whether they like it or not, that's their business , but how about showing them the respect they deserve when they so lovingly give to you the ultimate act love in a dom/sub situ of submissiveness If you are a true Dom I strongly suggest you act like one and respect your "subs" and if you are seeking respect from your peers, there is no need for you to boast about your "subs" in every forum you put up which show smacks of self promotion anyway, just act like a true gentleman and address the issue at hand.

Actually wished I was as a child (book version) I spent so much of my time in the bush and on a farm so had an affiliation with animals at a very young age. I am sure if the animals in circuses, and the racing fraternity could speak they would say get me the fuck out of here you insensitive, cruel, think you know it all human bastards as I am sure many so called pets would. I have two cats but they are not pets they are my best friends and family. Yes I am an animal lover and cannot stand any cruelty at all. I also believe that all non native species should be fixed so not to breed and when they are all gone the native animals will become our friends or pets if you wish to call them that.

My subs love me. Woody pussycat Yes that was cruel and so wrong butdon't blame everyone for the crimesof a few. But do we get rid of police dogs/sniffer dogsand police horses because they are working animals. These dogs prevent crime and catch criminalsand without so much more drugs would be on the street. Police horses help crowd control and helpkeep an officer safe in crowds. I feel the solution is tougher laws and longer jailterms to deter cruelty.

We are both animal lovers and it sickens us when people are cruel to animals. We appreciate circuses like Cirque de Soleil where no animals are used, just sheer artistry. We don't go to the races or the greyhounds as I know how the animals are treated behind closed doors. And we have given homes to animals that we have saved from "deathrow", rather than purchasing them from pet stores and backyard breeders. I might add that reading some of your forum posts, it sounds as if you have your own circus happening at home. You don't seem, via your posting in the forums and in my opinion only, to have much respect for your (alleged) subs. Seems like a double standard to me. Just saying... Sandy xx

Animals are not for our entertainment. Domestic pets well the majority are loved and cared for by their owners same goes with Police & Customs animals all are well cared for well trained and looked after and live very happy lives. I am not a betting man and have no interest in the races and I would also be ok with no more horse or dog racing but while there is money to be made it will continue to happen. As for taking you dom or subs whatever you said ... yeah well sure if you say so

To being a hypocrite on this issue as I used to bet on horse racing and dog racing. However, I have changed my view on this recently and have not had a bet on either for over a decade. I find the industries to be reprehensible on many levels. The horse racing industry in my opinion is by enlarge is a crooked industry with very little redeeming qualities. Horses are bred to race, I have no problem with that. But are they also bred to be whipped by a jockey? That's simply cruelty to animals. There are 'some' respectable people in the industry such as the owners of the now retired Black Caviar. Black Caviar was never whipped as a race horse. The owners famously said that any jockey who whipped Black Caviar would be whipped by the owners
