Going to the mattresses

May 03 2013

Many people here connect through the forums, but I have noticed lately that when lovers fall out, they sometimes bring it back to the forums.I thought ''going to the mattresses',' an expression used in the Godfather movie and quoted in You've Got Mail, was a very apt expression. Is this practice something which is just part of the forum culture or do you think that the airing of grievances from RL has no place here?

He/she/they didn't look/act like I/we expected them to. Now just add your spin and you have a whole new RHP forum topic.

I don't want to read about petty grievances here. If the fun you shared is over so be it. The only time I would want to know is if the person has really been arsehole, player or liar. And then it should be as a warning. Posting crap in the forums just because you feel hard done by is not on. Well, that's what I think :)

Should stay in the bedroom.   It is not a normal dating site, and people should get involved on the understanding that is not a permanent thing, sure we do get involved and emotions do play part but at the end of the day we go on for physical gratification and not life long attachements, all well and good if things happen that way but to gripe because one is attached and another not for whatever reasons, is petty and childish.   Some people don't take rejection well they take it personally but they need to get a grip and move on.

In my opinion there is no place for airing greivances in the forums. It's rude and bad form, and ultimately just looks like sour grapes. There are always two sides to every story, often more, and i'm not willing to listen to one aspect of any story and make a judgement on it.   Here on RHP it's a case of Buyer Beware, if the due diligence you do doesn't reveal the flaws in the product it's on your own head.   If i want soap opera i'll turn the TV on.

will always do this. Because through airing it on here they will find someone to feel sorry for them so that's the main reason why it is told, and secondly the other person gets buuhed out from many.I don't think it is stoppable.I only say RHP should stop the writer from telling everybody the name which this person goes under. And should this person has really hurt someone then kick them out, but it should be fair and two sides be heard. We are all on here as adults, I believe, so we should behave in a manner which discreteness and fairness, despite some arseholes on both sides.Have fun on here and stop mud throwing.

In the last week two profiles were outed on the forums for different reasons. RHP mods removed one of the posts, as the full username was mentioned. We'll never be able to stop certain people from whining, but it does get on my nerves. And if someone mentions that bloody Facebook group one more time, I will tell them to get the hell over it. If you want to have a go at someone, pay for a membership and send them a message.

That whatever happens in the bedroom should stay exactly where they take place! And that airing grievances on the Forums is indeed an immature and pathetic act! After all, how can one not learn or improve to be a wiser person after they join in the Forums?! Again, each to their own! :-)

The person in my above post who mentioned someone's username wasn't whinging and understood why their post was edited by the mods.

Has me fearing meeting people in general. The thought that that person could/would do such a thing is a real turn off for me to the point where I'd even admit to it being an insecurity of mine. I'm a very private person, and I am very wary of who sees the real me without the childish facade. - Posted from rhpmobile

We all make mistakes, so making a big deal of something that is a learning curve and moving on some tend to make fools of themselves by creating a big fuss, I don't waste my time and energy, life's too short.

Whinging in a forum is pretty much on par with kissing-and-telling.And those stories are always very one sided...... RHP is not a courtroomDG

I also agree. The forums are boring enough these days. There is hardly any good debates anymore and the forum police have stepped up 10 notches. The forums should be called the "Nanny Diaries" these days.

Also the people that gossip behind other peoples back on here and say the nastiest things about them but still go out with them to Clubs or are so nice to them on here only to say nasty stuff about them behind their backs! If that person gossips to you about other people, the chances of them doing it to you will be so high, beware! Some on here are not who they like to project themselves as! . Sorry if I don't like you...I will never suck up your arse! Must be sad and lonely and tiring to wear 2 faces! xFunlovingx
