Hair Removal

January 01 2010

This is really directed more at the ladies.  I regularly work with girls that want to tidy up bikini lines or remove body hair altogether for photo shoots.  A lot of these girls are students or only work part time and really don't want to spend the money on professional waxing.  They're also concerned about inflamation from waxing or rashes from shaving.  I've had a look at the over the counter hair removal products and they pretty well all say they are not suitable on the genitals.  This seems bizarre as I would have thought that would be one of the main reasons it is used!   Does anybody out there use these creams or hair removal products and if so can you identify the ones that are safe to use in the genital area.     Cheers

I have a vidells Sassoon facial hari trimmer.. you know hte one that they advertise on the television for men to shave their stubble? Well I was mucking around with it the other day and discovered that at 0.5mm they work a real treat on mickey hair... no ingrowns because the hair is still there... and not long enough to feel prickly.   Cheers Stalky

Ive tried waxing and shaving and found waxing too sore and shaving you get a rash. So turned to hair removal cream to give it a try. Ive tried the veet brand and also coles own make and they both work well as long as you dont leave them on for too long. They contain caustic which basically dissolves the hair away so you can see why they aren`t recommended for soft skin like the genitals. But follow the instructions and try not to get them on your very sensitive bits cos it does sting a bit, but its a dam site less painfull than getting waxed. Works for me!! Gael

I have found the best hair removal cream is one that Palmers put out it is called No Blade Hair remover, i found that with this one you don't get the strong smell that other creams have and it works really well.
