  In my experience they are super hard to make happen. Ive had about 3 parties but that was back in the Craigslist days. Ive found you always get lots of interest but most people are totally into it while they're at home in front of their computer nice and safe; but once the time actually arrives the nerves set in and they pull out (pardon the pun). The times theyve worked for me are when ive got a motel room and advertised on the night cause you get more success when its spur of the moment and they dont get too much time to overthink things. My parties have always had CDs, Trans, bi M/F couples and bi guys. What i always have as a rule is no drug taking or drunk people, thats when things can get out of control.

  Oh yes definitely lock your valuables! Ive had a new phone and the keys to my SS Commodore (and a week later the car) stolen. That was just 1 on 1 play though.

  Well it depends what sort of party you're thinking of hosting, but generally speaking I'd suggest: Always invite more than you ideally want, as there's always drop outs and cancellations with some great excuses.. I often invite guests through recommendations of mates in the scene, that can guarantee that they're quality and reliable. If you're charging collect the money as soon as they walk in the door as you don't want to chase them around all night. Have some munchies as often guests will work up a bit of an appetite and you don't want them leaving because they're hungry. Music and lighting can really set a great vibe for everyone, and the layout of the rooms/beds too 😉 Hope it goes well for you!

  Good luck. Since your post is as a single guy and hoping for couples to come, you've probably got as much chance as Angelina Jolie walking in as well. If you were a couple then you'd have a better chance with your invitations. You only have to look in the Events section to see the success single guys have in attracting numbers. It's not impossible but to achieve your goal I would suggest teaming up with a female friend and host using a couples profile
