Some would say "recent" but how long ago is still "recent"?My thoughts would be no more than 2-3 years old unless you have had a makeover (e.g. plastic surgery, weight loss, major hair job etc) in which case it works in your favor to have a more recent pic (i.e. shortly after the change).I recently (today) PM'd a lady who I met briefly at the Sydney Meet and Greet... her Pics on the profile are good but they don't do her justice (she is a stunner IRL), so it is more important to have a good quality pic than a recent one if you want to be seen in a crowd.Just my 2 cents...

six months old , as we can change a fair bit even in six monthsespecially me if I cant keep the fridge door shut!I put new ones on all the time and take of others to replace them. I have one older one with me on the log but thats about it and I don't think there is a huge change yet in my body from that picture, unless you get up close and you may see a few more bits of flab, but to bad it comes with the territory.I am so amazed that people put up old pictures and get so upset when they are called on that in real life.or people who put just part of their body or face with sunglasses on etc. when you get to the meeting stage and i have given my number to a person I want to see a face picture taken right then and there not one thats up on the neti have outed a few guys like that. those with the fake pictures they cant send you a face picture like the one they have on the profileand stuf the I am a secret agent stuffI know I may miss out on Brad Pitt , who has a handle here as MRBig one for you, but hey you can't have everything can ya.SIX months is far enough back for me

I think 3-6 months. Anything older than that can be pretty misrepresenting. At least for some people.

Mrs Sweaty hates being in front of the camera so arghhhh that means updating! Will have to do some serious thinking on this... or maybe editing!Mr Sweet is just as hunky and never takes a bad pic and looks

But we've been working towards deleting pics which are over 12 months old, a couple are older (from when we joined) but we've been pretty consistent with the delete button and with adding new pics which I think helps 'normalise' the presence of the older shots. I may eat my hat if we're still here down the road and using older shots but for now I think they should probably het the axe if they're older than 2 1/2 years old and DEFINITELY if there's been any major shifts in size or style...

I think the site should make it a requirment (or give the option) for the person placing the photo to add a suggested "Date Taken" then we would all know what were are seeing. As for Lady Tuscan "keeping the fridge door shut" ooowww you have nothing to be concerned about honey... :) great set of photographs.

It's fine. Change them if you've lost or gained weight or after say two years. I think the issue is whether it's an honest representation. It's so awkward when not.
