I look at my screen and I see...

July 09 2016

I hoped forumites would play along with me and share what it is they have as their desktop background etc on their devices. On my laptop, the desktop background is a pic taken while on holiday last year. I took it, deliberately standing within the room we'd slept in using the window edges to frame the view, as a lasting memory of the beautiful ocean and sky we'd enjoyed seeing for the days and nights we'd been there. At the moment it's a reminder of where we'll be heading later this year. YaY! That's my story. I look forward to hearing what other forumites like to see on their screens, and maybe why. Peachy

I on my desktop... I've created my own solid coloured background divided into quadrants to separate the just on 100 desktop icons into categories. It's too hard trying to sort out the various colours and names of the programs if the desktop is cluttered with even a subtle picture., My screensaver is however a slideshow of photo I've shot from around the world... people, places, things and food! My phone... my jet black Staffy at about 12 months old snuggled under the covers in my bed deliberately shot in low light to bring out the highlights and colours.

I have a gorgeous pic of a snow scene, with snow covered mountains in the background, snow all over the ground, snow covered firs , clear blue sky and a huge omnipresent moon dominating the whole scene. I pulled it from the net and looks like it was shot in a Scandinavian country Reminds me of Melbourne CBD at present I should change it On the phone, a pic of my fur babies, does this make me tragic ?

Has a pic of my now deceased dog from when she was young, sharing her bed with a lamb we were hand raising. The look on her face is priceless, The "why me?" look! That lamb followed her everywhere! My phone main screen is a pic of me and my horse playing games, he's walking over a bridge. And the lock screen is of my dog with a frisbee round her neck with a big smile on her face as we were cooking a bbq at the time!

...is a photo I took a year ago last February, of Hallgrimskirkja, a sort of modern gothic cathedral that sits on a hill on the highest point of the city of Reykjavik. It's across the street from the guesthouse I was staying in and my room.It was a beautiful clear afternoon, and the whole church with its tall, pointy bell tower, is practically glowing orange in the low winter sun. It's a fond memory of a far away place, and it serves as goal and a reminder to get out and see more of the world again.

A snow covered wilderness with wispy colours in the night skies. So different to what I knew growing up and living in tropical Australia.

Off topic but Qefenta1 thought I'd mention I have a lotus combining two hearts tattooed on my wrist- they also symbolise rebirth, so it's to remind me that my life now is my rebirth and to love and accept it, and the two hearts to remind me not to close myself off. I'm not spiritual as such, but they are beautiful. - Posted from rhpmobile

So much variety but mostly inspiring I thought. Fur babies rule. Love it. It says a lot about what is important to us doesn't it. Thank you everyone. Lol I_touch, you are incorrigible and I love it. Luck_Dragon, a dragon for you... of course. :-D Thanks for that info about the lotus Q, you are a neverending font of fascinating information. I'm going to take encouragement from your post to set up my screensaver similar to yourself Midnight... the bubbles on mine are fun but repetitive. Kisslids... brilliant. Reminds me a bit of an app I have on my mobile that lets out a scream if anyone picks it up after that. Bugger those icons Mr Urn. I use so few, that except for the stupid trash folder, I have them on the toolbar so there is no clutter on my screen. Aw, Mr 3somes, that's really sweet, thank you. I do love the theme of the lotus running through the thread Misskez and Soft. Life isn't always pretty but what comes out of it can be astonishing. Cheers, Peachy xox

Mine's been unchanged for so long I can't remember when! My phone is just a standard background, I never personalized it, but I'm now thinking I might... On my computer the background is an abstract of my fav colours and my back tattoo.
