If men ruled the world would Christmas be celebrated?

I think ... NOT. This is a question for guys, and girls by all means feel free to comment. Do we really give a toss about Xmas? I mean grown up adult men generally what do you get. Socks, Jocks, naff stuff really, you might get one decent present from your partner. Otherwise it's just .... I don't know ... abit crap. I think it stems from the fact that as you grow up and you discover magic and elves and Santa don't exist, you can't ever get that feeling of magic back. Shame really, I guess you have to make your own excitement and magic when you're grown up else all you've got to look forward to are the shitty times. I discovered that the other day, I was like if I don't make the good times happen then I've got to look forward to death of relatives, friends, sickness, general life bullshit. All that stuff the kind of wears you down the older you get. Death in particular has hit me and my family hard these past few years. I feel like i'm on this beach and all my family are sand statues around me and one by one they erode away while i'm left standing around. Is that too deep for RHP? Perhaps.... BUT I did have some great sex the other night and it has made me horny for the rest of the weekend. MY horny batteries were totally re-charged and I'm so glad I at least have the swingy life for me. Men might not celebrate chrismas but if we had our way, the Grand Final would be a week long public holiday, melbourne cup would be a national three day holiday and work practises would be amended to allow time off on a monday if your team wins(or loses cos the other team cheated or the referees were certified blind) on the weekend. Carer's day would be reserved for taking your dog to the vet. The proceeding statement was bought to you by the letters "T", "I" & "C" lol

and as some of us are aware, the petticoat government is all powerfull and they just let us think we are in charge....when it suits them, generally when there is a stuff up, DOH so yet again we can be shown the error of our mere male ways. Though seriously i wouldn't be bothered with Christmas anymore!Cheers Nev on the last Sunday before Christmas day.

Lords theory; Men do rule the world they just let women have things like Christmas to keep the kids and women happy!!!!!!!!! Plus its good for the economy. If women ruled the world it would be a very different place!!!!!!!! Lady's response I'm not going to get started on any feminist crap tonight. I agree with Andy yay for swinging and good sex.

Christmas wasn't particularly exciting until I became a mum. Now it gets more exciting (and expensive) every year ! Last night I loved driving my daugter around to different houses to look at the Christmas lights (google has a list of the best locations !). Today she received an early Christmas present, her first "big girl with training wheels" bike ! Watching her learn to stear her big bike and peddle around the neighbourhood "mummy this is SO much better than walking !", brought a warmth to my heart that has been lacking of late. Yes, I'm female but I sincerely believe there are many men somewhere out there who share the joy of seeing a child's face at Christmas. (BTW... if you ARE out there please send me a message / flirt ) And one final point... Jesus was a MAN ! So technically man created Christmas... but I'm just being difficult ! Ho Ho Ho to you all. for me, xmas is all about the birth of jesus, so yes i would celebrate this every year. for those that don't believe, but still celebrate xmas, all they are doing is celebrating something that they don't believe in. just remember this, if there was no jesus, there would be no xmas.

YOu know I never expected this to turn to religion or about Jesus. I'm not religious and I wonder how does a religion (that revolves around Chirst) view the swinging lifestyle? Can you be religious and be a swinger? Interesting don't you think? Can you balance your religious beliefs with your appetite for lust... is it not a deadly sin? Can you go against Exodus 20:14... Honestly, I don't care and I just looked up swinging and religion on Google and wow it opens a big can of worms. Dare I post this?? I can't help but post ... Andy

Well Andy it may surprise you but I have met a lot of practicing swingers, myself included, who also practice various forms of Christian religions. I haven't found many Australian sites but there are a number of American sites dealing with reconciling religion and swinging. Whist some of them are full of fundamentalist arseholes there are some very enlightened people out there even ministers. As far as lust being a sin. A sin is only a sin if it is hurting yourself or someone else so by that definition as long as we are all informed consenting adults then we are not sinning. Besides how many religious hypocrites are there out there. Just because the conservative churchgoers of the world think they are better because they are chaste and all the rest of it aren't we as good as them because we are honest with ourselves and our partners.
