I have a lot of tattoos, (2 half sleeves, forearm, back, chest, in my ear, behind my ear, fingers, feet, i think that's it) they're telling my story. Everyone of them means something to me and12 months ago I was pretty much a clean skin..... Some hurt more than others, the most painful was on the lower right side of my back, I don't mind the pain part of it but.... I have had people say "what about when you're old, well they will just get old with me I guess." No regrets with any of them, I love them, I do get a lot of strange looks but lol....... More to come, it helps that my tattooist lives with me....👍 - Posted from rhpmobile

Yep, a cleanskin here, but I do have a personal tattoo tale to tell ..... Many moons ago (okay 1982) a bunch of us were tapped on the shoulder to head to the Middle East for a peacekeeping force, the first major ADF operation since Vietnam. Now most of us were YOUNG, I was all of 22 then and like the rest had never even been overseas, much less to a semi-war zone (we were there to keep Israel and Egypt apart). Anyhoo, one of the old salts in the Squadron told us youngens that the 'done thing' is to get our Service Number and blood type tattooed on our upper left bicep. Apparently that way if we get injured and the medical staff can't find our dog tags the tatts will make things easier. So about six of us headed off to the local parlour in Ipswich after work only to find it closed. Headed to the pub across the road for a little dutch courage whilst waiting. After about 2 hours of courage building we staggered out of the pub and headed to the parlour, standing outside waiting for one of us to be the first in. As we stood there looking at each other, one of my mates utters "fuck, what happens if we get shot in the arm?". That was enough, we caught a taxi back to base and the last time we were all together, about 4 years ago, we were all still clean skinned ... lol Yep, that was the only time I ever thought of getting a tattoo .. sorry .. Mooka

Mums tattoo is a fish on my foot with her initials. My 2nd tattoo is a large lily on my right thigh with the star signs of myself and my daughters. my 3rd is a similar tattoo as on my thigh but on my left shoulder blade - lily again with star signs of my grand children. Yes u get the did it hurt questions. My response - did your brain hurt thinking that question? ?? More tattoos to come for me as well.! - Posted from rhpmobile

When I was in my infantry battalion it was considered a good idea to have your regimental number and blood group tattooed on your inner forearm, just below the elbow - the theory behind it being that artillery or mortar fire will (and does) blow your clothes off and your dog tags with them. Sounded fair enough to me, and so I got that done, along with possibly the worst sword behind it drawn in human history. Still, $45 well spent I thought (yes it was that long ago), and I proceeded to proudly show it off to some friends. Until one of them said, 'what if you get your arm blown off?' Geez...... Oh, and I also have my family coat of arms on one shoulder, and my son's first and second names and the year of his birth on the other. I don't know whether it's part of a rich tapestry of my family history or not, but it works for me. - Posted from rhpmobile

I have 3 tatts and definitely want more, although the first thing I need to do is have one of my current ones done over because I don't like it anymore (it's only very small so should be easy enough to cover with something else - I hope). My favourite is my dragon on my left side, and that was also the one that taught me to really be sure the artist knows what the hell they are doing. The guy who originally did my dragon did not know, so something that should have taken probably an hour and a half, tops, ended up taking 3 hours and it was the most painful thing I've endured (I haven't had kids). It then ended up 'bleeding' colour badly so I had to have it completely re-done at another studio (the same one who did my first two tatts, and where I should have gone in the first place).

I've always loved tattoos and now have two.One on my right shoulder of a bad ass sexy angel with my kids names under her wings. She is a voluptuous angel with a look that says - mess with my kids and you mess with me.I have a cherry blossom tree on my rib cage with the words Mia Famiglia in the roots. A knot in the trunk represents the year hubby and I married and two large branches with a series of cherry blossoms on them. Each blossom has a date in it, representing my kids birth years. Hubby just finished his - the grim reaper throwing dice with pagan symbols (on dice) representing our views and values. with the quote - destiny is a matter of choice not a matter of chance. Very sexy indeed. xx

I have Captain America and Iron Man on my right arm as a half sleeve. With Thor and Hulk coming one day soon to finish sleeve. Yep The Avengers. The meaning behind it? I love the Avengers and it will forever remind me of the little kid I used to be. Therefore it'll always remind me to not take life so serious. Therefore it'll always remind me to have fun. I love the art work that has gone into them. Alot of people have complimented the detail especially in Cap America. I'm sure some people think it's stupid but I could not give a flying or swimming fuck.

Love tatts, and their stories behind them. Not all mine have stories... Upper bum tatt with kids initials KRK, unfortunately my middle child never made it into this world, 25 wks preggers and his heart stopped, I have his foot prints which I'm planning to get added to my back when I'm ready. Tiger and 2 cubs on my right leg, which represents me and my 2 kids, without having to have our portraits on my leg My left leg tattoo has no meaning besides I just love it!!! I have had it in my head for years, started it a few years ago on my foot to just above my ankle, finally built up the courage to take it all the way up my leg, it's still not finished yet, lil bit at a time.... I love it cos it's unique ( I hope) not real girly girly but feminine, and I think I have the sexiest LEG in the world hahahahaha Can't wait for the additions. Ps have put all my tatt pics in public gallery if your interested in having a look :)

Powerful one. Symbolic to a chapter in my like I closed. I want one of the 3D ones that essentially shows - if my fingers are done too in alignment with it - that I'm tearing open my chest revealing my heart. And I'd love my kids names written on the part of the heart that you could see. My back I'm planning some lettering that says something similar to "Only god may judge me." Problem is, I'm not that religious, so I'm giving a serious consideration to HOW it reads. - Posted from rhpmobile

A dragon on my foot. 2 dragons entwined up my calf on my right leg. Left leg has a star, sun, moon type anklet. I designed it while in high school but didn't get it until I was in my 20's I have a massive one on the outside of my left thigh. Its flowers surrounding a blue haired beautiful woman's face. She's holding her fingers to her lips asif saying shhhh - I saw her picture and knew I had to have her on me somewhere. My ribcage on my left hand side is covered in swirls and lillies. My grandmother had a garden full of lillies. I looooove lillies. I'm hoping to eventually get my rib tattoo to join up with my thigh tattoo. Then continue on down my leg - Posted from rhpmobile

I got my first tattoo at age 46 on my lower back, a butterfly with some scroll work either side. Never felt a thing wish I had done it years ago. My second one I got just before Christmas last year and it is a heart held by 2 bluebirds with small paw prints. It is on my left breast and is in memory of my much loved furkid who died from bone cancer in 2010, it took a while to save up for it. Has his name and date of birth and death. The third one I got just after Christmas and is another butterfly on my right shoulder. The heart is really the only one with deep meaning

I got a few - on my arm a dream catcher got it when 16 1st ink, I used to have nightmares very often growing up, 2nd - my first love she died when I was 19 on my chest (most girls don't like it but I don't care, I never tell anyone the story) Forearm I have a Buddhist hanuman (monkey warrior) I love the myth & character, very unique + no3 - I played pro sport in Europe & that was my number.... also it's been lucky for me & 3 has other meanings + water - I love the water, beach, the calmness & tranquility of water. + my orthodox cross - original family cross also unique. + 1 single star - because that's the symbol of my family's Provence in Europe that is century's old. Also have an original Apache Indian warrior on left arm- went to Indian reservation many years ago & they try to find out if you've been reincarnated from a previous animal & Indian. This tattoo is the result of that story & past lives all drawn into an Indian warrior. So I love all my tattoos & all of them are really dear to my heart & sort of make up my character. I wear them with pride. People are amazed by my tattoos because they're unique but honestly their just a part of me that supply me of great past memories & peaceful times as I get older..... I plan on getting more but am in the process of designing them... - Posted from rhpmobile

As you can probably see, I'm covered in them! Absolutely love good tatts with proper artwork. All my tatts have some sort of meaning and only one of them i regret. Start off with, my whole back is covered with a cross and angel kneeling below it with a script reading "once the soul has laid it's faults at the feet of god, it feels as though it has wings"..... pretty much asking god to forgive me for my sins. Two sleeves, both chicano, one with all the clowns and gangsters and the other with all females. on one of those arms has the the inscription "my devotion" and the other has "my downfall", I'll let you guess which one goes with which lol. Stomach has some letters/numbers going across it which I'd rather not discuss the meaning but inside those letters/numbers is more chicano artwork. (most painful tatt) Pecs have tatts on each, which I plan on turning into a full chest plate once I can leave the country again and see my overseas artist. Across my collarbones is a traditional Thai tattoo done by bamboo which is supposed to bring me good luck and fortune.... still waiting for this to happen and finally, i have one on the inside of my lip which reads "fuck u"

I currently have 7 tattoos, one on each shoulder, one on my lower back, left forearm, side of right thigh, side of left calf and back of right calf. Each represents members of my family and has a reason why i chose that....i have one to cover up which is my lower back which was my first tattoo and its only because it doesn't suit my son anymore, so i am changing it to what suits him and who he is. most of my work is a decent size i generally don't go with small ink. i only have a couple more to cover my family members and each tattoo can be added to.i'm most proud of my most recent tattoo though because it is the one i had done for me. i love tattoos but i don't understand getting ink for the hell of it, i wouldn't say any of mine were overly painful but i think that comes down to the person and their own pain tolerance, mine is pretty high and i basically fell asleep during most of mine. i love my ink days and my tattooist.

All of mine hold personal meaning. I did nearly all of the design and drawing myself which made them unique to me. Besides my sons name on my forearm the most significant meaning for my tats is the angry scull on my back. In Feb '98 my best friend was murdered and for a while I became very hate filled and angry. As I started to get past that I drew the scull to be a representation of that hate and anger and had it put on my back so that, while it is always with me in essence, it is behind me (in the past). - Posted from rhpmobile

I have seven in total. One on each shoulder blade I got at 17. A wizard and a troll smoking a joint. Would like to cover them one day but not too fussed. A Celtic band around my left arm for a mate who died when we were younger. A tribal design on my right shoulder just cos I liked it. A cross on my left ankle I did myself as a 15 yr old and an Egyptian symbol of love and fortune on my lower back. Wife and I both got it on our honeymoon. Love some of tats I've seen on you guys as viewed a few profiles to see what they looked like. Don't have any of mine on here tho sorry. Mr. - Posted from rhpmobile

One night out of the blue I got a txt from my daughter saying we should both get a phoenix tattoo.I must admit it puzzled me as I'm not one for tattoos usually.I'd gone through a pretty traumatic end to my 30 yr marriage a year before, and unbeknown to me, at the time my daughter sent me the txt she had received a letter from her father telling her he was getting married.A Phoenix rising from the ashes , a new beginning. I have one on my left shoulder, hers takes up most of her calf! Certainly a bonding experience for us both.It didn't hurt as much as I thought it might.

I have a half back piece that denotes my family in a series of butterflies with scrolls and swirls. It has as a centre piece an ECG line from when I cheated death and was revived after loss of heart rhythm, not once, but twice. It has a heart in the centre of the ECG to portray the pacemaker I now have to rectify further issues. I have 2 more planned, currently saving. - Posted from rhpmobile

I'm watching an interview with Lena Heady who plays Cersei from Game of Thrones. I was already thinking how immensely fuckable she is (much hotter with her natural brunette hair), and then she mentioned that she has 5 tatts, including a full back piece. Of course I had to google that shit and OMG *drool*.

Quoting 'Funtimesplusu' Has anybody tried UV ink? The ink flouresces under a black light. Thinking about a forearm that's invisible at work and lights up when I party! I just saw a pic of a jellyfish like this. Looked pretty awesome. How do they see where they're inking at the time though? Is the blood enough to show the artist where they've been? x Me

I love woman with beautiful, tasteful, skin art! I'm a practicing tattooist myself, and tasteful comes in a whole range of variety's and styles! Mostly cleeshay but it's in the eye of the beholder and the depths of an open mind! My wife and eye have quite a few tatts! And plan on a lot more!! The story's behind what, why and where someone wants some art done gives quite a bit of an insight into that persons life/personality! Given they put some thought into it!!?? Sometimes doesn't seem that way though! And spending so much time up close and personal with someone tends to open them up for a story or 10??

http://redhotpie.com.au/Adult-Forums/OOOWWWWWW-40652 The night I got the tat that's on my profile pic. Yes, it has special meaning to me as I was a stockman for 10 years, 10 amazing years. It's high on my left thigh. I want to put some colour behind it but I won't be getting another one.
