Is There Ever A Polite Way?

July 23 2013

Is there ever a polite way of saying "sorry but we are sure, after looking at your pics, that you have lied about your age (unless you have had a hard life) and your weight and we don't want to meet you"?Why do people feel the need to lie about these things? You are going to get found out eventually.A bewildered Pusscat xxx

It's called "block" No further correspondence needed. If they lied, they already know. DG- Posted from rhpmobile

Don't have to give a reason if you don't want to pusscat. A simple were decided you aren't quite right for us and wish you all the best is fine surely. If they can't accept that then by all means block.- Posted from rhpmobile

To make themselves sound better! My friend likes taller men. Had made plans to meet up with a guy who, according to his profile, was 6'1. Upon meeting, he was roughly her height (5'4). If had been honest on his profile, she probably would never have bothered! But he got what he wanted in the end, so for him, does the end justify the means??

Turned someone down either after viewing their PG or after an initial meeting and then seen the person/couple again at a 'party'? I can imagine that would be awkward. - Posted from rhpmobile

Seriously, only the actual people who have lied knew why they needed to do so. If I must guess, I would say they were lack of self confidence, so they just lied.

Quoting 'woody_pusscat'I guess what I am trying to say is why do people lie? Pusscat xxx Four reasons: - They believe their own lies - They want to make themselves sound great and have no intention of meeting - They hope you won't notice they lied - They hope you'll be so keen that by the time you meet it won't matter

I reverse the situation and think how I would want to be treated, and that's how I pass on the info, I tend to meet at least if they are close and see if we click as I have some great platonic friends too :)

Being someone who does look older than my age, I have to disagree that you can guess someones age by a photo unless there is a huge difference in what they clam to be and what the person in the photo looks like, I have seen photos on here and other sites where you can say yep that's an old photo of you. I think it a fine line between saying that someone is a lot older than they look just by a blurry selfe in a bathroom mirror. If you have doubt about their age ask for a pic with a date stamp on it.
