....although its not a deal breaker, it is pretty unfair. Many lay claims to the..."I am well known" or the "I have to be discreet" tags but really doesn't it come down to a bit of a trust issue?

I used to let anyone see my Private Pics but it had to be a Trade , mine for theirs . I did feel a bit ripped off when I traded Pics of my private bits and they traded pics of their face or their undies . Now , I will meet people without ever having done a Pic trade ( so long as I have seen a pic of their face ). I would suck it up and gladly engage if the rest of the profile or the message itself aroused your interest. Someone has to break the Mexican stand-off ? I can't say I feel to be in a such a position of endless choice that would warrant dispatching summarliy to the recycle any message that aroused some interest.The luxury of effortlessly moving to the next message in the queue seeking absolute perfection and 100% of the available "benefit of doubt" from the very get go is reserved for the ladies.

One of the things that make me go 'hmmmmm' is when you read a woman's profile (don't read the male ones so I wouldn't know if they do that as well) who state that they won't reply to any message unless a face pic is showing in the public gallery. Yet the majority of time they either don't have a photo at all or no face pic. Double standards anyone??? Mooka

That I was even contacted by a real man?!?!? My rule about showing pics is very simple.....if I was the one to make the first move, I would open my PG to the man I approached. But if I was contacted by a man, he would need to show me his face pic FIRST, simple as that and it's called sincerity and fairness!!! Who do those men think they are to demand me to reveal my face first and let them decide whether I'm a suitable one or not?!?!?! It could easily be an oversight. If I like the rest of their profile I'll write back to say thanks for the message, I like their profile etc. I'd also say see you asked for my PG but didn't share yours - perhaps you'd like to go first. If they decline at that point I delete :)

I'm happy to share my face after we've exchanged a few messages but I think darers go first. If you want to see mine you have to show me yours first. If I'm doing the asking I'll show first- it's just good manners! Thank you all for contributing your thoughts on this topic. Everyone is different and I just happen to care so much about sincerity and against dominant behaviour. As I said earlier in the post, I only dislike it when I have been contacted by a man who asks to see my pics, but won't open up his PG to show me his pics first! If I am the one doing the asking, I will show my pics first, this is an act of sincerity and respect! A few days ago, I experienced an incident when a man contacted me asking to see my pics, but he didn't open his PG to show me his pics first, so it was a turn off and I replied politely to reject him. However, he couldn't accept a NO as an answer and wrote again to say "let me see a face pix, if there's an attraction, let's take it from there".......he still didn't show me his pics the second time he wrote back! Seriously, WTF he thinks he is to demand me to reveal my looks (even after I've said no), and then let him decides if I am pretty enough for him to take things further?! The mystery of a woman intrigues me, most write in a way that I find attractive in their words, so not a deal breaker with me so far as the women go. Would appreciate a photo before a meet etc, but not necessary, all part of the intrigue I say and some times it does not come off cest la vie.
