Definately a dud. Send it bk. It should be near silent ... but a powerful vibration. Mine make a humming. But it cannot be heard outside of bed area ...- Posted from rhpmobile

very much like a dud and I would also send it back.When you first get it (well a good one) you possibly may not leave the bed for a week
