  When I was a premium member, I would sometimes message first, but it's a little different for me, given not all young guys are into older women so I didn't want to offend/creep them out lol hence would still wait for at least a flirt, then message. The other thing that put me off messaging was profiles with no face pictures or enough pictures to get an overall look at them, again I was worried I might hit on someone I knew from RL or heaven forbid, a younger relative 😕 So I did on occasion, can't now though

  The majority of my message conversations with women on RHP have been a result of my contacting them first. I've made some fantastic friends this way. That said, my sexy partner of 2+ years now messaged me first because she had liked my profile. We've been together since not long after! And a catfish is someone who pretends to be someone online that they really are not. I've noted this in other threads, but the experience that women have on RHP is VERY different than men's experiences. The messages they have to wade through are ridiculous (both in volume and in quality). Consequently, as a man, you need to put yourself out there and differentiate yourself from other guys, both in your profile as well as your messages. Moral of the story: the more effort you put into your profile and communications, the more it will be appreciated.
