As an MUA - you discover that different tones and undertones of make-up suit different complexions and colourings. Also, lip size and shape - a colour that might look luscious on a fuller lip might not be the right shade for a thinner one, and vice versa. What might be 'too bright' on one person might be just right on another. It also helps to know how to apply cosmetics professionally - in the case of lips by priming, lining and setting. Ultimately, make-up helps express our own individual style preferences - who cares what the boys think? Wear it for you! :) -KK (Sporting deep crimson lips) 💋 - Posted from rhpmobile

I have to disagree, personally, I find that a lot of guys seem to like bright lipstick. I always get attention if I go out wearing my bright red Ruby Woo lippie. But I don't go for dramatic eyes, so it's maybe the fact that the rest of my face is understated?

I went to the doctor as I had a red ring around my pecker, he sighed, pulled out a wet one wiped it and said lip stick nothing to worry about

I think the men that say no are thinking with their conscious mind as full red lips are a sign of an aroused woman. So red lipstick will is certain to attract men. I am quite blonde so love mauves, pinks and golden tones but do on occassion paint them luscious red.

If full, red lips are a sign of arousal, what is lipstick a sign of?

I'm a lip gloss or tinted lip gloss kinda girl, rather than lipstick.....Make-up is not really my thing.....but I always sign off with my red lips 💋

I love my "slut red" lipstick as my beautician calls it!!!! I wear it for certain roleplays with my lover and he loves it. He says it looks super hot. I have a friend who continually tells me my lips are made for porn!!! I guess he'd love red lipstick!!! I love leaving a bright red ring around my man's cock!

A daring red display on someone it suits is sexy. But a big red display on a face plumped by collagen, becalmed by botox, covered in makeup like spakfilla all set off with tattooed eye-brows......well, if it ain't a midnight screening of Rocky Horror then it is just creepy.

Is my favourite or a deep red or bronze and I don't do pink, ever! I wear what suits me, I don't care if others don't like it, except Hubby and he buys it for me!

I know a number of girls on another site which is alt/hipster. Bright red goes very well with a Betty Page look and dark chocolate looks smoking in full Goth. And my late wife looked super hot in deep red lipstick and a red cheong sam.

I vary my lip stick colour depending on so many factors - the occasion, complimenting my outfit and colours, the season, time of the day and most importantly, how I am feeling that day. I wear red lipstick to get a dramatic effect. As I am quite tanned, I get away with wearing the bright red or bright pink. It may not be as bright on me as opposed to caucasian women wearing it. I get a lot of comments from strangers when I wear my red lippy which emphasizes my full lips, but tone down my eye makeup so i don't look like a clown. It can be classy depending on how you apply it. I also wear neutral warm tones on my lips when I do the full smokey-eyed look. Glamorous too. But it is all in the preping and most lip colours look good on non-flaky soft full lips.

1 man was telling the truth The other 4.... were being selective with it. Im CERTAIN that if a woman they would otherwise said was their "type" was wearing a bright shade.... they'd accept it. DG

I'm fortunate that I work in a industry that involves makeup and the highlighting of ones features, so therefore I have learnt much about playing up my best assets. I think my mouth is one of them. I have dark features, so I tend to wear beige, brown earthy colours in winter and the pretty pinks in summer. But yep on date night, I bring out the pouty artillery - the red lippy and debunking the myth that not every woman can wear red lippy, not true, you just have to find out what your undertone is, cool or warm and then find the red that's made for that toning. I have a cool undertone so the red that works best for me is a Australian brand called "Burlesque Red" and the colour is "Strawberry Siren" - divine , creating lips to die for and if a man doesn't like my red lippy, too bad, I wear lippy for how it makes me feel, not for him and without sounding conceited I've yet to meet any man that's ready to knock back a kiss on offer, from my lips or any keen woman's lips for that matter Oh and the fun one can have in seeing if its long lasting or not Now where is that one that can help me test that whole 100 percent smudge proof claim ??

I think it is a signal to say 'come here, NOW', whether women think that or not, it is the signal that men get when they see it. I think as was stated before, that lipstick ring around the shaft of my schlong is rather appealing. I actually like the cheap stuff that is all over your schlong.....

One of my friends had her lips tattooed so that she looks like she is wearing lipstick. She did it because she liked the colour and thought that it suited her, not because she thought the guys would like it. As you can imagine, tattooing that part of the body is very painful and took a long session even with a local. Would any one here be confident enough to permanently colour their lips?

I guess this depends mostly on the rest of the package. If my wife asked me this question I'd side with the lads only because I know what lipstick she prefers. Hugs Gazpacho - Posted from rhpmobile

The Egyptian ladies started the wearing of lipstick. This was done to 'advertise' their enjoyment of oral sex :).......... I say "walk like an Egyptian"

Natural on me. Some women look better with red lips, some don't in my opinion. Angelina Jolie is someone who can pull off both equally. Tip for the ladies: Darker lipstick not only makes lips look thinner, it also makes the person wearing it look older.

bright lippy - not a turn-off, but unnecessary. In the right setting, wearing the the right outfit etc etc all women can look super hot with bright red lippy and there's no doubt it catches every guy's attention, whether it screams “I'm ready for sex” or not. But seriously ladies, for most guys, most of the time, if there is even the slightest chance of any action with your wife, girlfriend, lover or a total stranger, then lipstick colour is probably no.73 on their priority list, right after “Shit, the curtains need a wash”... If it makes you feel pretty / sexy / good about yourself, then great, knock yourself out. But if you already have a guy's attention, then it isn't going to add much. Oh, and my ex used to wear that awful, waxy, all day stuff – looked nice but tasted like crap! I think she did it on purpose..Rocky

I think bright lippy looks ace! I wear it all the time and never have any problems attracting men... It's the Melbourne look; fair skin, dark hair, red lips... I certainly don't think it makes me look any older either... I think anything goes, wear what makes you comfortable and feel sexy. Girls stop putting down other's choices to try and justify your own... It's bad enough that society tries to make us all feel insecure about how we look without the sisterhood telling us our choice in lipstick is making us look older or making us unappealing to men.

I would not think it would come down to the colour of one's lippy. The women who have comment they were bright colours & attract men, I would suspect it has more too it then the colour of your lippy. I would think a lot of men would not care one way or another assuming they like make-up. My hubby hates the feeling of lipstick or gloss etc. I have been surprised by the amount of guys who prefer little or no make up. I am a country girl & only wear make-up on the very odd occasion.

I love wearing all kinds of lip products. In fact I think I look pretty good in red and deep/bright pink lipstick. If some guy doesn't like it, not really my problem

Im not much a bright coloured make-up all over the face girl, I love seeing it on other women that suit it of course but I like natural colours (nudes/browns) ...... However I personally love well shaped brows, long lashes, mascara & eye liner and thats what I spend my money on rather than anything else, imagine Bridget Bardot....I love that look, simple but alluring Mrs TB_S

It depends on the lady and the context. Some colours suit better than others.

Personally i do like too see the natural side of a woman but in saying that i am not the one wearing these products. Make up or no make up men will approach women either way as long as you dont put it on before going too bed thats my big dislike.

Sometimes it goes with her hair, her outfit, her eyes. Its awful when someone is wearing a really bad shade for whatever reason though, but i don't often see it. I don't like it when makeup is plastered on with a trowel, but lipstick is fine. I do hate having to wipe off lippy after an extended make out sesh though.
