  Happens to us all the time!!! Typically my first response to them is “so what brings you to ‘x location’” kind of brings silence or the typical oh I didn’t notice that lol I think people don’t stop to read the date finders properly - just think yep here’s a chance, let’s click show interest and ask questions or details later...

  Happens to us everytime. People don't actually know where our town is and RHP location isn't actually very accurate oh how far away people are from you. If I think the person/people who have responded are who we are looking for I'll actually message them to tell them where we live. If not I just ignore them. Sometimes they will be in area around the time we have free because they ether travel for work or are traveling somewhere else and want to drop by.
