I hope my cynicism doesn't offend anyone... but I honestly believe that "making love" is just a corny euphemism for FUCKING. Love or not, its still fucking. Why people won't just say what they mean is beyond me... lol.... nadi xx

Nadi - i disagree darl - I have fucked a few men but i have only ever made love to 1 - my husband and there is definately a difference... The intimacy on a mental level is very very different and the feelings i have for my husband when i am in his arms makes this "making love"

When Brooke and Ridge from the B&B swear undying love and fall into their perfect bed with their perfect hair and make-up and tits and then next week marry someone else who came back from the dead four times just to be with them....lol.... Personally, the first time my hubbie and I could have sex after our first was born...was pretty special. xx Smart

The film stars seem to be forever falling for their latest co-star, if the gossip magazines are to be believed. Simulating sex before a camera crew, time and time again must rub off on them. Rather than waiting for the seven year itch, they want to consummate everything they simulate. Not only that, but they then have this uncontrollable urge to formalize each new union and jettison the old. So Smartnsweet's favorite American soapy is not far removed from what is happening on set and off set, other than characters coming back from the dead. But then again, Olivia Newton's old squeeze may have jumped ship rather than drowned, so he too may pop up in the future. Now it seems most of these film stars must have rocks in their heads, as much of their earning must go in divorce settlements or alimony payments, till the prenuptial agreements came along. Tinaxx seems to be able to satisfy her lust for young male flesh, and enjoy the fruits of a long loving relationship, so she's more than just a pretty face and fabulous body. Maybe she should write a book, and have that made into a movie, as her experiences would surely set a good example for relationship stability and better define the true meaning of love making, than that portrayed on the box or the silver screen. Obviously this goes for any other lucky RHP lady in same boat. I'll put my hand up for the position of cameraman.

i thought about it for a bit and said "anything from holding hands over the restrat table to atempting to damage each other physicly" ok ok.. she asked what do you think sex is. but i think making love and sex is the same thing.. mabe.. here's my proof (ergo); i think sex and love are really only very tenuously linked. i've fallen in love a number of times in my life (and yes we are talking, aching, longing, trasuring till you think you'll burst type of love) but only some of them have had sexy chemitry with me. the woman i was seeing in the late 80's i would have died willingly for... but bed time was usulay for REM, sex was awkward and bland. but over time i've had some totaly hair raising experiance with people who, while being special, where not loved. so, given most ppl call making love having sex with somone.. i stand by my answer.. are you with me?? i believe there is a difference between love making and fucking. the times when you can be with your partner, words and costumes are not needed. so much can be said with a touch or a kiss that just doesnt happen when "fucking" well thats my thoughts.

The way it works in my mind is that sex is sex. But I have only truley 'made love' with someone special. I have made love with Mr J many times and it is a truley wonderful all encompassing experience. But I have also 'made love' with a couple of other people in my time too. I believe that the very first time I had sex I 'made love'. It was sweet and tender and nice and safe and comforting. I believe that is what 'making love' is. Now on the other hand 'making love' is very nice and enjoyable but nothing beats 'having sex'! Having sex to me means exacxtly that, putting your bits in my bits and enjoying the experience but maybe not connecting on that deeper level. And there is nothing wrong with that! So in my opinion (and thats all this is) it is both the same action physically but differenty mentally

I think "making love" refers to your emotional connection when with someone special. Yes you can have sex / shag, but the emotional connection when making love is so much higher. To me, having sex describes the physical. Making love is taking it to the next, emotional, level - something entirely more intimate. Verts

we all know those American daytime soap opera's can be a little bit over the top and far fetched. To find the true definition of love we need look no further than to our own Ramsey St love conquerers Scott & Charlene! I strive to find love such as theirs, to be adored by the 5ft nothing puss & ass on legs dressed in her grease covered overalls would be heaven all I need is to grow my mullet back and I feel I must be some sort of chance of finding love. All this talk of soapies reminds me fondly of the Logie Awards night tribute, by the Umbilical Brothers, to 20 years of the character Sally Fletcher in 'Home and Away'. "Sally Fletcher was a foster child whose birth parents died in a boating accident. So did her adopted sister, but different boats, at different times. While driving, her adopted father had a heart attack. Her step adopted father drowned. She was an archeology student. She was shot by a drifter. She was attacked by Heath Ledger at a surf club. She was taken hostage by a crazed student, then she was taken hostage by a crazed drug addict. Crazy people, Sally Fletcher is the target... mobilize all units. She was lost at sea. Her eggs were frozen. She lost control of a horse and carriage on the way to her wedding. She had been stabbed, poked, stalked, slapped and stabbed again... and she has met John Farnham. She was pushed off a ladder, and she suffered a brain hemorrhage. Someone tampered with her life support system. She married the man of her dreams... who died. She had an imaginary childhood friend, who turned out to be her real brother. After many trials and tribulations, a surrogate mother successfully had her baby, and it was run over by Alf in a car. Sally Fletcher we love you, even though you are a nut case magnet."

Its really just semantics.... yes, there is a difference between sex with someone you love and someone you don't. But both are sex. Both are fucking. Making love is just a term people use to "pretty it up" and make it less dirty. Personally, I think sex is at its best when its with the one I love AND extra dirty too! ;) Is it love? Yes!! Is it Making Love? No more than it is if I fucked a stranger. And that does not cheapen it in any way. IMO nadi xx

The words "making love" always reminds me of the song by Billy Joel with the following lyrics... "there's an old man sitting next to me....making love to his tonic & gin" So if you substitute "making love" with the word "fuck" you have this... "there's an old man sitting next to me....fucking his tonic & gin" So clearly the original seems somewhat surreal if not romantic, yet the second lyrics are just wrong and kreepy. The conclusion from my ramblings.....yes there is a clear difference between "making love" & "fucking" DJ

In my book there are three catagories of sex, as follows: 1) Making Love 2) Sex 3) Fucking Now, take into account two of the elements of our being, Body and Soul (there are more, such as mind but lets leave this out for a sec LOL). If we apply these two 'Elements' to the three 'Catagories' it could be perceived as thus; 1) Making Love involves an act of body with a large element of soul (spirituality) intending to achieve a higher plane of spiritual connection between the two partners, to the point where although there are two bodies it feels like there is one spirit. Physically it is usually gentle, slow and rythmic. 2) Sex is similar to making love but with not as much spiritual commitment involved as with making love and a higher focus on physical pleasure (body). There is still connection however the end result does not usually attain that high spiritual plane, but can leave the two physically sated. The quicky or the passionate sex is an example. 3) Fucking is the base form of sex and tends to focus primarily on the physical (body) gratification in a short time, although there have been accounts of fucking sessions being prolonged for quite a while LOL! There is almost no spiritual connection at all in this process. At times it may even seem physically overexerting and in some cases violent, and in most cases leaves the paticipant physically exausted after the act. So, any thoughts for Guru Morgan LOL!
