  Maaaate, sorry you’re doing it wrong and over complicating it. So what you do right, is whack a good dollop of vasoline on the end of the tape measure.   The trouble with that PDF is you need to have a printer which takes A2 paper, so the lads with 20inch beasts can use the ruler. 🤪
