1. I've received some intelligent unsolicited mail from articulate women generally in their late 30's to mid 40's but tend to find unsolicited mail from younger members/guests lacking substance. *With the exception of a few 2. Stupid amounts but 99.9% of the time its guys thinking she is randomly magically interested and i don't read the emails (unless the membership is running out) 3. Yes but generally only if it's a new account and i can see some human effort (not bot) because if you don't hunt for unicorns how the hell are you going to find them?

As an older person on here I will leave the first question to younger ones. If a guest was to message me then regardless of the profile I would respond. The content of their profile controls the response. The no pics on a females profile is not a problem. The lack of content is.

Those type of profile are likely fake or generated ones.Some even now verify their profile though they probably dont respond to anyone, let alone have minimal information... Then there are those attention seekers with like 100 friends. I have had a woman many years ago contact me as her one per week email. Number was swapped and we met up right away socially. Then we took things further and further.. It is quite exhausting seeing the above like profiles. Ive never messaged anyone with "wanna fuck" or similar, though they might come across like that from their profile. RHP needs a major clean up on a lot of profiles

1. Most times a lady has initiated contact has been through a flirt. Therefore, not that original. A couple of times, it has been a message that has been based around a forum post and been very original. Luckily??, no ' u wanna fuk' messages. 2. In 15 months I would say around ten times a lady has made the first contact. 3. I have sent messages a number of times to 'blank' profiles, all to no avail. Go figure?

In the few years on the site, both under my current moniker and my previous one, I've had very little contact initiated by women. So in answer to the questions: 1) Never received a "wanna fuck" message and the one unsolicited message I have received from a female was OK however it felt more like a tease than any serious interest... can't tell much about her as her profile is locked. A couple sent an unsolicited message and they were well versed in the art of saying hello... they should run a workshop for some people on this site methinks. 2) In addition to the 2 unsolicited messages from point 1 I've had 1 flirt... and the lady who sent it wasn't interested in following up when I messaged her. 3) Being an equal opportunity offender if someone doesn't put in at least the effort I have, which admittedly isn't that much, into their profile they get the Next from me. "Ask Me" in the drop downs are annoying... hey the answers are there, just pick the nearest match no? SG

Hey SF... very interesting post! I must admit, I have been guilty of writing the odd crude message in the past. Of course, only to those profiles that warrant it; and they are clearly fake anyway Im sure of it... The more effort that goes into the profile, the effort goes into my message. Simple! So I do get rather peeved when the really extensive messages recieve no response. Is it really that difficult to reply with 'Thanks but no thanks' ?? Completely agree though about the inconsistencies between profile expectations between the genders that clearly exists in a portion of the community... 1. Nope... no intital 'wanna fuck' messages. I have shared a few converstaions that have gone down that path rather quickly but generally around the cheeky flirtations rather than the down and dirty. 2. I have received a couple of flirts I could count on one hand, none of which have eventuated further than that... as for messages - If I were to be unfortunate enough to be in a severe workplace accident and lose all of my fingers; I would still be able to count the initial messages I have received... 3. No messages to those who lack profile pictures... I especially cringe at those without photos demanding that guys who contact them must have photos... I mean, seriously??!?! I do message those lazy people with template profiles... just on the off chance that they are real people, however very little time goes into those messages... and I mean VERY little... and clearly even less time goes into the replies from them :P This gets me thinking... maybe I should look at expanding my horizons to those without pictures... Other guys had much luck here? Or still hit and miss..?

The day an age of men asking a womans hand are long gone!! These days a woman may just likely say to you " honey i'll tell you when and if i'm ready got it" ahh im in love ha!!! There are so many empty silhouettes of women and personally if they have made some sort of effort i will go to looks page if they all say ask me!! Fuck off im not wasting my messages asking something that should be mandatory rhp !!! If you want something for nothing at least put some fucken effort into it !!!!!!!! I use the flirt button as a form of first contact.It does not mean lack of interest on my part.For me if they cant respond or cant be botheredthen they are not interested or curious.There are to many fish out there to worry about the one.Around the shops or taverns I flirt heaps and getladies or sometimes don't.Heres a good topic---How do you find the rightone for happy ever after --LOL

Much to my chagrin and disappointment, but then I'd never take a woman seriously if she did, I'd play along but with such scepticism that it would be a guy! I have been lucky enough to have been the recipient of the golden once a week message from a woman. Absolutely flattering and a real treat. And have received a few messages too. Mainly from forum readers who seem to judge on personality and intelligence rather than by flicking through profiles. Most of the time it is a flirt or passing by and then they capture my attention and I respond appropriately. I must say on here women take the prize for the most thoughtful approaches. I really enjoy initiating contact, but because of the guest membership, it's gotta be a flirt sadly. So far here every guy I've sent a flirt to has messaged me and been apparently keen, which is awesome! In comparison, on other more vanilla dating sites which allow free communication, when I contact men I get constantly knocked back, so naturally, I stopped and just worked with the requests coming to me. Received a couple of flirts and to be honest this old guy did not get the gist, flattered yes and the profile in question had no pictures, so cest la vie. I like to read about a persons intent, have not had the wanna fuck yet, dont know how I will answer to be truthful, probably the spongee thing between my ears will go gee whizz. Third part words can make up for a picture only if they are written by the person involved and not the formulated stuff and should actually be descriptive and outline what they are looking for in a bloke I wont reject because of no picture, just all the other information needs to filled in as well. I suspect this would take time and thats the dilema, I am very short of spare time to pursue them at this time..

After asking about women being proactive on here I went and did a search, quite a detailed one, and sent flirts to a few guys (5), and messaged one guest member. All of the flirtees except one responded with a message. The messages were uniformly ordinary... Hey how was your weekend sort of stuff. I responded in a more detailed way... Chatting, asking questions etc... They mostly responded by not giving any details or taking the conversation further... Can I see your pics? Was the standard... Soo... To date... I'm chatting with one but nothing else has come of my approaches... I think I need to refine my strategy... Or my profile (which in all fairness says I'm just here for the forums). I do better picking and choosing at the pub!

Well being BI I do get a regular stream of awful, barely human grunts from guys. I just ignore them. Generally I will have a quick look at the profile and 99% of them have profiles that reflect the depth of their introductory message. Mostly I will simply ignore them, some seem to have a need to continue and keep on trying, dont they check if I have read the message or not. Sometimes just for the fun of I will reply with an obtuse reflection of their introduction. Over the years here only two replied back with equally intriguing sarcasm, but generally these days ignoring them is the best as for some do not seem to be able to understand NO and seem to think that because I have replied they are in. Guess it is somewhat my fault as I do stretch their comprehension abilities a little to far for them to deduce that it is "No thanks." that I am actually saying. Oh and the ones that get rather rude. Do they really think they have any chance by being pushy and demanding. Wear at me and you will never get any response from me again. Generic profiles, short or with limited information are neither here nor there for me. I keep an open mind. I will not start correspondence with these profiles as there simple is nothing to go on. But if I receive a message from such a profile, man or woman, even if it is just a short "Hello, like your profile.", as long as the message is polite and not crude I will reply with at least a paragraph or two and have met quite a few interesting people with very ordinary profiles. I love words, spelling mistakes, punctuation are not that important, its about what they are saying and someone will have to have exchanged at least a few hundred words with me before I even contemplate seeing them. I have been on many dates without ever having seen a photo. I actually quite enjoy trying to pick out who it is from only a verbal description. Only once have I walked up to the wrong person. Profile image rarely give you an accurate picture of what they look like in real life so put very little value on them. Thinking about it, one thing that is a big influence, for me at least, is the handle. Arrogant and or sexually explicit handles are a real turn off. Don't think I have ever contacted or replied to someone with a bad handle.

Alls I gotta say is women should follow what they want from guys..ie photo first, no flirts only messages and to follow up on their profiles. 1. No 'wanna fuck!' Mesages 2. Like the rest only contacted through flirts 3. Fake profiles with generated words are eveywhere and female profiles seem to be the worst. Probally fakes for advertising numbers..2 million members as opposed to 1 million..thats a difference in interest for companies to give $$. This practice should be banned even if it meant membership rises! Genuine is the way to go :-)
