My son was playing with some friends on the beach. They came over to me to get some snacks and a little girl I hadn't met before asked me " Are you .......... Grandma?" Ummmm, No his mum. "Oh okay, we'll you're very pretty". Yep, somehow it didn't make me feel any better. :). I'm trying to make myself feel better with the fact that she was only about 4 years old 😁😁

I was shopping the other weekend. The 20 something girl behind the counter was giving me the coy look and flirting (at least I thought she was). She told me how much she liked my tie. Many years ago I was out shopping with my late mother who was in her mid 60s back then. An elderly gent was waiting in line in front of us and he started chatting to my mother. Actually he was flirting with her not that she noticed! She introduced us as mother and daughter and with a twinkle in his eye he said "geez I thought you were sisters". My mothers ego went through the roof and I was left feeling mortified! I'm used to being told I look at least 10 yrs younger than my actual age and by association I felt like I had been told I looked over 20 yrs older. Then I looked at my mothers beaming smile and thought ... hey it was actually a nice thing for him to say to her. It wasn't about me, it was about her. LG (coz life's good)

Son's 1st grade class went to pick him up early, one of children said "R" (name withheld) your Nanna's here. The teacher immediatlely told the child to sit down and be quiet. I was floored as at the time I was only 37yrs old. Just lived in a suburb where there were alot of young mums.

ask me how old I was and then he said he thought I was older because you can tell a woman's age from her neck! WTF? He recently asked me out for dinner and he is probably 25-30yrs older than me. Rich coming from a 65-70yo, lol

Have had a few ego boosts this year and almost as many ego busts. The best ego boosts are the unspoken ones... the bum grab at the bar etc. The ultimate I had earlier this year and was repeated on Saturday night... walking home from the city on Saturday night I locked eyes with a woman... she smiled... I smiled... she turned to keep looking... I turned to keep looking... she walked into a pole... I nearly fell over (not laughing though her friends did). SG

After a hard sweaty day at work, looking like shit.Went up the bar for a beer and the cute bar maid was staring at me with a cheeky grin and says " I love your beard". Brightened up my day. My own age finds me to out there as I keep up on the dance floor with the young ones or that my own age find me ugly or to old.This be it here or dating sites.Now the ego boost.I date or have sex with under 45 most are under 30they find me fun and there's lots of sex plus it has aside effect and helps me feel young.I did have a post up about dating own age even the factDR Phil covered it on his show.

I have a friend who is my age and height (read: short by male standards). He lives in the home he and his wife own, with their child. A salesperson knocked and when my friend opened the door, the salesperson asked "Is your mum or dad home?" Part of the reason I always have facial hair is so that people know that I'm out of high school. About this time of the year and the start of the new year are dangerous, because recent graduates are making their way in the real world."Did you just finish school?" I've been asked. "No, I did that a decade ago."

I've often heard you can tell a woman's age by her neck, as well as decolletage and hands. The reason is that women often tend to neglect them when putting on sunblock. Result: Clear faces, but wrinkles, age spots and other skin damage everywhere else.(Not to mention the fact that you can't resort to Botox or fillers to smooth out those areas.) Lather up!
