Mr Stinky...

February 21 2010

I went to the second Sydney AC/DC concert last night... rode my motorbike to the Olympic Stadium, parked it in the VIP parking area for free... perfect.. no queing... hehe. Got to my seat in the nose bleed section... then bluffed my way to a far more advantagious seat down on the edge of the field, ready to jump the fence to teh standing area.. hehe... then got surrounded  by Cops.. lol... took my ... errrr... seat... in the disabled person's section... still surrounded by cops.. damn. Great view though.. totally unobstructed by the people standing in front of me.    Then along came Mr Stinky. I mean, the man was 6'6" tall with tattoos everywhere and very long blonde hair and a big bushy beard, arms like tree trunks, legs like bridge pilons.. a real solid unit, a muscled tank, dressed in black with ac/dc shirt, and he wore thongs that he shuffled as he walked.... but sweet Geezus that man stunk. Now normally, as some of you will know, I sort of enjoy that smell of sweat.... but this guy... omfg.. serious. I could tag him from three metres... He tried to take his seat... didn't fit very well... kind of hat to sit sideways... the guy sitting next to him turned a strange shade of grey... all the while Wolfmother pounded out a sensational beat.   The lights went dim. AC/DC hit the stage. I mean that is one hell of a good show with 70,000 red glowing and flashing horns in the crowd.... I sat there... surrounded by coppers.... partying on... but I could still smell Mr Stinky.. he had obviously moved closer and took up a standing position next to the Cops... 5 minutes later they were gone. Yay Mister Stinky I thought... and I evacuated the area to see if I could get across the double fence passed all the cops and the security guards... Nuh. Absolutely no chance. They were down there lined up two deep waiting for me to try it on I'm sure.   I returned to my seat. A large crowd of people were dancing around my seat and I joined them, and Mr Stinky was nowhere to be seen.... but whoever he was, I'd like to thank him for clearing away the cops... and I'd just like to say .. ffs take a fuken bath!     Oh and Earl.. for those about to rock, we salute you... you're gunna love it!! Hugs Stalky

Give him a break Stalky - that shaggin wagon wouldn't have aircon, and it's a good 30hr drive.  On vinyl - that's gonna cause some sweating. Sounds like a good night - it's great to see you old fogies getting out there amongst it

Stalky we're going this Saturday night up here, never seen them live b4 and cant wait. So tell me all about it Stalky bar the Mr stinky bit. Did Angus do his 20 minute solo? How long were they on for? What was Motherwolf like? We didn't get seats, didn't think I'd be sitting for too long, got standing room right up the front nice and close to the action. It's gonna rock.

"Stalky bar" .. yeah not bad at all! Wolfmother are a great in concert but the crowd wants one thing... and wolfmother were on in twilight.. up in the nosebleeds the seats were still in the sun...   Angus does do a tremendous solo effort... but that's trademark I think, just like the school uniform.  If you are up the front make sure you take your top off and get on your old man's shoulders... especially during "She's got the Jack" ... you're gunna be famous. :P   HUgs Stalky
